Fresh From The Garden!

MFT-FreshGarden-wm

Hi again,

I have another couple of MFTeasers to share with you all today. If you missed my previous post from today which was this month’s MFT sketch challenge scroll down after you have finished here to see yet another MFTeaser.

Today the MFT Stamps Design Team are featuring 3 more of the new stamps which will be released by MFT Stamps after the release party tonight, over on the MFT Stamps Member Forum of SCS. The sets featured today include “Who’s That Gardening Girl”; “Green Thumb Mini” and also “Clearly Sentimental About Gardens” which is the Triple Scoop set for July.

For my first card I used all three of the featured sets. The main image is from “Who’s That Gardening Girl”, this is a perfect set for all those family and friends who love gardening! Whether it is vegie gardening or flowers this set caters for both! The sentiment used on the front is from the “Green Thumb Mini” stamp set.

This time round I decided to use one of the vegetable stamps to place inside the garden, we are growing tomatoes today! I paper pieced the girls shirt using the same designer paper I used for the base of my card. I also used the MFT Die-namics Sunshine Die (love this die!) to create my sun shining down on Gardening Girl.

Underneath the image I added some of the Crochet Ribbon Collection. I actually used my copic airbrush to change the color to brown to match my card.

MFT-FreshGarden2-wm

On the inside of my card I used a sentiment from “Clearly Sentimental About Gardens”. I also used two of MFT’s Die-namic Dies …. the Cloud Trio Die and the Grass Die.

MFT-Rolled-flowers-wm

My second card today uses the new MFT Stamps “Clearly Sentimental About Gardens” … this fun set contains 8 sentiments all related to gardening.

DieNamicsRolledFlower

My flowers are created using the new MFT Die-namics Rolled Flower Die using blue felt from the My Favorite Felt Earth Girl Pack. These are so easy to create!!!!!!! I added a couple of punched leaves under the flowers. Kim has posted a video on how to create these flowers using the die-namics rolled flower die here.

MFT-Dirt-wm

And here is the inside of my card using another of the sentiments included in the “Clearly Sentimental About Gardening” stamp set. I also used MFT Die-namics Ric Rac Die & Die-namics Ribbon RE:Creations Grosgrain Texture Board to create the ric rac ribbon look in the centre of the panel.

Wishing You A Beautiful Day!

MFT-Beautiful-Day-wm

Hi everyone,

I am back again today with another MFTeasers to share with you! Today the MFT Stamps Design Team are featuring two more of the new sets that are to be released by MFT Stamps on Wednesday 7th July.

The two sets we are featuring are “Jolinne – Just For You” and “Framed Greetings Set”.

DieNamicsFramedGreetingsDie

For my card today I used the Framed Greetings set. This set consists of a die-namic frame die and a stamp set that co-ordinates with the die. There are 3 frames that work with the die and also 4 sentiments and 3 line accessory stamps that are also fun to use.

To create my card I die cut the frame using the Die-namic die from the Framed Greeting set. And then stamped the dotted frame from the set around my frame using orange ink and then my sentiment. I also used the MFT Die-namics Jumbo Scallop Die to create the border along the top of my card both on the outside and inside. To finish of the front of my card I added some of the crochet ribbon from the Crochet Ribbon Collection that I airbrushed orange to match my card.

MFT-Beautiful-Day2-wm

Here is the inside of my card, this time round I just stamped the frame direct onto my white card inside my card and added the sentiment inside the frame.

Matching Up The Framed Greetings Stamps with the Die Tutorial:

Jody Morrow created a fabulous tutorial on how to match up the Framed Greetings stamps with the die, which with her permission I am posting the tutorial here for your info.

  1. Choose the stamp you want to work with
  2. Grab your Framed Greetings Die 2010_06230007
  3. Put the stamp ON the die, with the stamping image down (toward the die).  The BACK of the stamp will be UP and exposed.
  4. Manipulate the stamp until it fits well in the die.  Make sure the whole stamp is inside the blade, and that the points match up, etc.  2010_06230008
  5. Once you have it situated properly, grab your mount and press down, adhering the stamp to your block.  2010_06230009
  6. Peel off the die (it will stick a little)
  7. Now you are ready to line up your stamp with your die-cut card stock and get a perfectly matched-up image with your die-cut.  2010_06230010
  8. When I stamped, I paid special attention to the upper and lower points, and made sure to center it nicely between the 2.

I’m Your Biggest Fan!

MFT-PICheerleader-wm

Hi everyone,

I have a couple more MFTeaser’s to share with you all today in readiness of the MFT Stamps new release.

Today the MFT Design team are featuring the “Pure Innocence” range, and this month there will be three brand new Pure Innocence girls to be released and one Boy with Dog … you are going to love them!!!!!!

My first card today uses “PI – Cheerleader”, this is such a cute set. You have the option of using a pom pom stamp or the flag stamp for her to hold, or of course you can just stamp her without either of these two images and add your own pom poms or whatever you want to use.

The lace used at the bottom of my card is from MFT Stamps Crochet Ribbon Collection, the ribbon comes as a cream color, however I wanted orange to match my card so I used my copic airbrush to change the color of the ribbon.

MFT-PICheerleader2-wm

Here is the inside of my card using another of the sentiments included in the set. I also used MFT Die-namic ric rac die and Die-namics Ribbon RE:Creations Grosgrain Texture Board. It is hard to see the grosgrain texture in the photo but it isn’t in real life.

Stamps: PI – Cheerleader – MFT Stamps
Paper: White; Orange; DP – Basic Grey
Other: Black Ink; MFT Die-namics Ric Rac Die; MFT Die-namics Ribbon Re: Creations Grosgrain Texture Board; MFT Crochet Lace Collection; Orange Brads; Circle Punch; Foam Tape; Copic Airbrush; Copics

MFT-Superstar-wm

Of course a cheerleader needs someone to cheer on right hehe! So how about this cute “Football Player” I also used another new stamp set on this card which is the “Banner Day Alphabet which I used to add the number 8 to his shirt. The Banner Day Alphabet contains both upper and lower case alphabet, numbers and there is also a Banner Die that you can purchase that works perfectly with it (I don’t have my die yet or I would have used it on this card).

I did however use another of the Die-namics dies on this card and that is the Ric Rac Die …. I love this die!!!!!!!!

Here is the inside of my card using one of the sentiments and the football also include in the Football Player set.

Enjoy The Sun!

MFT-Fred-Beach2-wm

Hi everybody,

It’s day 2 of the MFTeasers, in preparation of the release of the new stamp sets which are all due to be released by MFT Stamps this coming Wednesday 7th July.

Today the Design Team are featuring two of the new stamp sets that will be released, these include: “Fred Bear Hits The Beach”; "Clearly Sentimental About Summer Vacation"

As you can see I decided to use the new Fred Bear set …. isn’t he just adorable!!!!!!

MFT-Fred-Beach-wm

And yes this is another of those Magical Marquee cards where the message changes to reveal something underneath, this time it reveals a bottle of sunscreen that Fred needs to apply so he doesn’t get sunburnt.

And of course what better die to use with this card then the MFT Die-namics Sunshine Die, after all the sentiment does say “Enjoy the Sun” hehe!

MFT-Fred-Beach3-wm

Here is a view of the inside of my card, you can see the bottle of sunscreen peeking out of the center when the message is pulled back.

I also used MFT Die-namic ric rac die and Die-namics Ribbon RE:Creations Grosgrain Texture Board. It is hard to see the grosgrain texture in the photo but it isn’t in real life.

Cruising By With A MFTeaser!

MFT-Cruising-wm

Hi everyone,

It’s that time again when the MFT Stamps designs team begins showing our MFTeasers in preparation of the new stamps which will be released by MFT Stamps after the release party which starts at 8pm Wednesday 7th July over on the MFT Stamps Member Forum of SCS.

Teasers begin today and continue all week until the Hop & Shop which starts Wednesday 7th July 10 PM starting at the MFT Blog.

Today the MFT Stamps Design Team are featuring 2 of the new stamp sets on their blog. These include “Cruising Cosmo Girl and “Banner Day Alphabet”.

For my card I used the new “Cruising Cosmo Girl” set which I love!!!!! I first stamped the girl and masked her and then stamped the card using my stamp positioner so that I positioned the card exactly where I wanted it. I then masked the car and created my road and wall using my copic airbrush. To create the bricks I first airbrushed the wall area, drew in the lines to look a little like bricks and then used a piece of towelling and copic blender fluid to create the texture look to the bricks.

Don’t forget to check out this month’s MFT Stamps Guest Designer Challenge for your change to play along with the MFT DT next month. In honor of it being Canada Day on July 1st in Canada and Independence Day on July 4th in the States, this month's challenge will be a is a Color Challenge. Use any neutral, white, cream, black, or kraft with the color RED and/or BLUE.

Challenge entries will be due Tuesday, 6th July, by 10 pm EST. To be considered, upload to SCS using keyword: MFTGUESTDT0710. The winner will be announced in the release party thread on 7th July.

Want to see more projects created using the stamp sets we are featuring today??? Then don’t forget to visit the MFT blog any time after 11AM EST to get the list of which Design Team members are also featuring these sets on their blogs today.

Of course being Saturday it is also time for another challenge with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Our sponsor for this week is MFT Stamps.

Being a brand new month means we have a new challenge hostess which is Jessie Rone. Jessie loves ribbons so her challenge this week is to use at least 2 different ribbons on your card.

I used two different ribbons on mine the black grosgrain ribbon and then I added MFT Stamps Crochet Ribbon Collection over the top of that. I colored the crochet ribbon red using my copic airbrush.

MFT-Cruising2-wm

Here is the inside of my card … here I used one of the sentiments and parcels also included in the set. I also used the MFT Die-namic ric rac die and Die-namics Ribbon RE:Creations Grosgrain Texture Board.

Have An Utterly Beautiful Day!

Alota-Utterly-wm

Hi All!

Before I get onto today’s card, I wanted to let you know about something else more important.

A few week’s ago Michelle Oatman (who used to be a member of the Alota Rubber Stamps Design Team) had a terrible accident while taking care of her donkeys on her farm. This accident has resulted in her losing an eye. Michelle has more info on this on her blog. When Helene the owner of Alota Rubber stamps heard about this she wanted to do something to help so got one of our artists to design a stamp which depicts Michelle and one of her donkeys.

DonkeyMichelle

If you would like to help Michelle you can do so by donating $5 over on the Alota Rubber Stamps blog.

Now it is time for another challenge over on the Alota Rubber Stamps blog.

This week it is my turn to host the challenge, it seems more often then not these days when I create a card I decorate the inside of my card to match the front of my card. So the challenge this week is an Inside and Out Challenge you need to decorate the inside of your card as well as the outside!

For my card I decided to use one of the cute cows from Alota’s Molly Moo Cows Set. This set comes unmounted and contains 8 cute cow images and 3 fun cow related sentiments. The “Moo” Sentiment that I included on the front of my card is part of one of the sentiments.

The layout used here is a recent Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (Mojo 144).

Alota-Utterly2-wm

Here is the inside of my card, I used one of the sentiments included in the set. The layout is similar to that on the front.

Do you want to play along???? you can use any stamps you want, although if you have Alota Rubber Stamps we would love to see them on your cards.

You have until the 15th July to complete this challenge, you can enter as many entries as you wish for a better chance of winning!!! You have a chance of winning some wonderful stamps if you card/project is selected randomly from all the entries received.

CCEE-Coffee-wm

Hi all!

It’s challenge time over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog, this week being a brand new month we have a new challenge hostess. June’s challenge hostess is Joanne Grzelak. Joanne has created some fun sketch challenges for us this month … but they all have a twist to them all.

The twist for this week is that we had to use Beverages somehow on our card. I decided to pull out my Coffee With Friends stamp set from Flourishes. I stamped my image twice once using brown ink on white card and the second on he DP which I then cut out and paper pieced onto the coffee cup.

CCEE-Coffee2-wm

Here is the inside of my card, using one of the sentiments also included in the set.
