MFTeaser Day 2

Hi everyone,
Welcome to day 2 of the MFTeasers in preparation of the release of the new stamp sets which are all due to be released by MFT Stamps this coming Monday 11th March.

Today the Design Team are featuring two of the new stamp sets from designer Laina Lamb. The two stamp sets being featured are:

• Laina Lamb Designs Journal It – Playlist
• Laina Lamb Designs Document It – Rock On

For my card today I used the Laina Lamb Designs Document It – Rock On stamp set along with the Die-namics Accent It – Rock & Roll set. I die cut the star from the Die-namics Accent It – Rock & Roll set using the Electric Red Card and also some silver glitter card. Around the edge of the larger star I added silver rhinestones all around the edge where the embossed circles were. The guitar was cut using Black Licorice Card and Electric Red Card. I added the sentiment to the top left hand corner of the card. The base of my card using Sweet Tooth card.

Here is the inside of my card. The sentiments used here are from the Laina Lamb Designs Journal It – Playlist stamp set and the player on the bottom right is from the Laina Lamb Designs Document It – Rock On stamp set, which was stamping using Wild Cherry Ink.

MFTeaser Day 1

Hi everyone,
It’s that time again when the MFT Stamps designs team begins showing our MFTeasers in preparation of the new stamps which will be released by MFT Stamps after the release party this coming Monday 11th March.

Today the Design Team are featuring:

Lisa Johnson Designs Pretty Poppies

I have used the Triple Time stamping technique to create my card today. To create this look you need 6 pieces of card three in white and there in your layering color. For my card I used Sweet Tooth and the new Electric Red card which will also be released on Monday.

The sizes you need to create this card are as follows:

White Card:

• 2" x 3-1/4"
• 3" x 4-1/4"
• 4" x 5-1/4"

Layers & Card Base

• 2-1/4" x 3-1/2"
• 3-1/4" x 4-1/2"
• 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" folded in half for card base

Once you have your sizes cut layer all the white pieces together using some repositional tape to hold the pieces in place and then stamp all over the card. Once you have stamped everything take it apart and add your layers and complete your card.

To finish off my card I added a piece of Electric Red Ribbon, a Black Licorice Button and Hemp Cord to the lower right side of my card.

Here is the inside of my card. I added another of the poppies from the Lisa Johnson Designs Pretty Poppies stamp set. I used the new Gumdrop Green ink for the leaves of the poppies, I also used Black Licorice Ink for the sentiment.

It’s A Riley Challenge!

This week I have used Wondering Midge to create another flip card, I went shopping a couple of week’s ago and picked up a few of the new Sizzix Flip it dies and of course I had to play with one of them .

I have one more card to share with you today using the Color Bleed Grid Technique … this is such a fun technique, if you haven’t tried it give it a go!

This time round I used similar colors to the card I posted last Friday, I just swapped one color. The Copic Markers I used are: YG23; Y08; B04 and BG34.

Your Special Day

Hi everyone,

I have been playing again with the Color Bleed Grid Technique to create my card  today.

This technique is done using Copic Markers and Copic Blending Solution … I can’t remember the exact pens I used to create this card as I was using someone else’s pens down at my stamp club … I do know the yellow is Y08. I created the backgrounds at the club and then came home and stamped my image and made up my card.

The stamp used on this card is one from Magenta which I have had for years. The sentiment is a MFT Stamps sentiment LJD On the Line.

Just For You

Hello everyone,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. This week being a brand new month we have a new challenge hostess which is Mwah!

Looking through a window. Create a card with a window, it can be a stamped window, a window die or if you don't have an actual window image/die … then just create a window card. Remember when you look through a window you could be looking from the inside out or the outside in. Have fun!

It’s also the first CHF non challenge week of the month which means that this week is Thomas Kinkade week where each of the CHF Design Team will be featuring one of the Thomas Kinkade stamps on their blogs. You will need to keep an eye on the CHF DT’s blogs during that week as we won’t all be posting on the same day, but rather on a day that suits us depending on what other stuff we have to blog that week.

This year I am attempting to post a different technique using the Thomas Kinkade line of stamps each month. This time round I decided to use the Thomas Kinkade Cobblestone Bridge and the larger Memory Box Window Die so that it appears you are looking at the scene from inside a house. Dies can add so many different looks to your Thomas Kinkade stamps. I also only needed to color part of the image which would be seen through the window.

Birthday Wishes

Hi everyone,

A couple of weeks ago a few stamping friends got together for our first stamp club for the year. Our project this time round was to play with our copic markers to create the Color Bleed Grid Technique.

For my card I used Copic markers B04; YG23; BG49 and BG34 to create the Grid. After creating the Color Bleed Grid I used black ink and a Wordsworth Flower stamp to create my card.
