It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Chirstmas!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas Ev'rywhere you go;

So OK Christmas down under in Australia doesn't look a lot like it does in many of the Christmas song we all love to sing. But for me it is still beginning to look like Christmas in on it's way. As you can see even though I am living in the heat of summer down here .... I do manage to have a little bit of snow around me LOL!

One of the things I look forward to every year when Christmas is approaching is decorating our house ... and two of the first things to get put up are our Christmas village and Christmas Tree.

We don't have a lot of room for our village so we normally just keep going up in layers ... yes I know it isn't the right way for it to go but it works for us! One day we might find somewhere where it can go and be on one level ... who knows.

Here are a few individual photos of each layer starting from the top so you can see it a little bit better (not much better maybe but hopefully a little.

The top layer is Santa's village and the carnival.

The middle layer is the village and the villagers ... we even have a church at the back right corner that has the same name as the one my DH and I got married in with a bride and groom outside. As we were married the week before Christmas, this is special to both of us.

Down the bottom we have our dock area ... with the ship, lighthouse etc ... hopefully one day we will be able to expand on this bit.

And finally our tree! It is pretty difficult to get a good photo of this because it is tucked away in between our sofa and dining room table, plus being tall doesn't help either. Hopefully there are some presents under there for me hehe!

Love your decorations! Wow, I can't imagine having Christmas in the summer! Right now in northern British Columbia, Canada it's minus-15C plus windchill and snowing! Ugh. We dream of summer right about now.
