Hi everyone!
Before I get started on today's card, I thought I would let you know that I am fine and nowhere near the fires or floods that you are all seeing on the news recently. I am addressing this here as I have received a few emails or instant messages etc recently from friends/readers who were worried about me. And if there is one wondering there are probably more out there wondering too. Last week it was about the flooding and crocodiles in Northern Queensland and this week it is the devastating fires happening in Victoria. I live in South East Queensland which is a long way away from Victoria .... it has been hot up here but nowhere near the 46 degree Celsius temperatures they have been experiencing down there ... wow! I can't begin to imagine how that feels like. My heart goes out to all those who have lost their homes and/or lives. Thanks for caring.
Okay now back to today's post. As you know Monday's means it is time for another challenge with my CCEE Stamper friends.
This week Tosh challenged us to color challenge .... the colors we had to use were pink, kraft and white!
Well I have to admit I don't use kraft very often ... probably lucky I even had any and I am not sure I do anymore so I guess I better order some more just in case!
The first thing I did was select a sketch that wouldn't be too hard to work with this color combo and as the SFYTT sketch challenge that Jen of Iheart2stamp hosts each Saturday had just been posted that is the one I selected. I thought it was about time I created another owl card and as this little owl from Clear Dollar stamps would fit in the circles I decided to go with that one.
I also figured pink owls would be nice for a change hehe. Actually the good thing is, is that I got to use my kraft ribbon that I purchased last year and had used yet so that was a bonus hehe!
Don't forget to check out what the other girls did for this challenge by visiting our CCEE Stampers blog which goes live at Midnight EST. Of course we would love to see what you can do with this color combo so why not give it a try and let us know by commenting on our CCEE Stamper blog.
