Jana Weaver is a year older today, happy birthday Jana! Of course what better way to celebrate than a Birthday Blog Hop Prettie Girl style! As we can't get together to celebrate in person the next best thing is a virtual birthday party .... yahhhhhhhh what fun!
Now if you didn't start this hop at Christie Ortman's blog then you have missed out on all the fun so I suggest that you hop over there first and then come back here .... I'll wait for you to come back!
I wanted to use the Paper Pretties "Make a Splash" set and I thought it would be fun to have her jumping out (or maybe into) a cake. The cake is one I have had for some years .... the words Happy Birthday To were already on the cake ... I just needed to write Jana! It has been ages since I made a tent card so I decided do so for my card today.
BTW "Make A Splash" will be the May SOTM set for Paper Pretties .... you can find out how you can get this set the month before it is released to the public here.
Now when you have finished looking at everything on my blog (don't forget my other card below), hop on over to the birthday girl herself Jana Weaver and wish her a very happy birthday!
Recipe:
Stamps: Splash Sophie - Paper Pretties; Cake - RBBB
Paper: White; Chocolate Chip & Regal Rose - SU; DP - Kaisercraft
Other: Black Ink; Brown Grosgrain Ribbon; Foam Tape; Copics
This is the Life .... two weeks ago Charmaine challenged the Prettie girls to pick a bright, fun summer palette of colors to create our project. Well hopefully this is bright enough LOL ... maybe I should have warned you all to wear sunglasses hehe.
I have been wanting to use this Paper Pretties stamps set for a while .... and when I read Charmaine's challenge I knew this was the perfect challenge to use it on. I love beach themed stamps so it wasn't a big surprise when I feel in love with this set which is called "Soakin' Up the Sun" ..... just look at the dog at the bottom of the lounge chair LOL!
I also used Danielle's PWC46 sketch challenge which she posted a couple of weeks ago. I didn't have a chance to play with it for any of last weeks cards so I decided to use it for today's Prettie Wednesday challenge instead.
The sky and sand are colored using my copic airbrush system. I also used a blue copic to color my white ribbon blue.
Don't forget to check out what the rest of the Prettie Girls created for this challenge:
- Charmaine Ikach
- Christi Thorsen
- Danielle Lounds
- Jackie Pedro
- Jackie Rakoski
- Jana Weaver
- Jessica Diedrich
- Jessie Rone
- Jodi Collins
- Julie Masse
Stamps: Soakin' Up the Sun - Paper Pretties
Paper: White; Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point & Good Morning Sunshine DP - SU
Other: Black Ink; Circle Nestabilities; Grosgrain Ribbon; Blue & Yellow Fabric Brads; Word Window Punch; Foam Tape; Copic Airbrush System; Copics
