Hi everyone,
It is time for another challenge over on the Alota Rubber Stamps Paper Craft Planet Group, this week the challenge is hosted by Cheryl Walker. You have two weeks from today to participate in this challenge and you also have a chance of winning some wonderful stamps if your card is selected randomly from all the entries received.
The challenge this time round is to use embossing on your card .... now that is an easy challenge right!
I received some new teabag stamps from Helene of Alota Rubber Stamps, so of course I just had to get one out and play with it for this challenge. You will find all the new teabag folding stamps here, there are even more if you scroll down the menu on the left side of the site and look for teabag folding. If you haven't seen the Alota Rubber Stamps teabag folding stamps before you really do need to check them out ... they are such fun stamps and really they are easy to use.
As you can see I decided to play with the new Flower TB stamps for my card. I stamped it out eight times onto white paper (I use a better quality paper to photocopy paper ... but that would work if that is all you have). To see how to I folded the image to create my teabag folded medallion check out my tutorial I have here.
Ok well the challenge was to use embossing ... well I used my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder to create the embossed background on my pink card. The punched border along the bottom edge of my card is the Martha Steward Embossed Scallop border punch so that also embosses the scallop portion of the punched border.
I attached a jumbo pink brad to the centre of my teabag medallion and then I used a rub on to create the word Hi! on the brad.
Recipe:
Stamps: Flower TB Stamp - Alota Rubber Stamps
Paper: White; Pink Pirouette & Certainly Celery - SU; DP - Kaiser
Other: Black Ink; Circle Nestabilities; Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Green Grosgrain Ribbon; Embossed Scallop Border Punch; Pink Brad; Rub On; Foam Tape; Copics
