Crazy 4 Challenges – Acetate!

c4c11-merry-christmas2-wm Happy Saturday everyone.

Are you ready for another Crazy 4 Challenges challenge??? I know I am!

It is my turn to host the challenge this month, and this week I decided on an Acetate challenge. You need to create a card or project using acetate. There are so many different ways you can use acetate on your cards and I have listed a bunch of them over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog so don’t forget to check it out.

For my card this week I decided to use acetate as part of the front of the card so that the greeting which is on the inside can be seen from the outside of the card. I have seen a couple of these types of cards floating around the net lately and really wanted to play around with the idea myself…. hence the challenge.

I also used acetate to punch out my snowflakes but to help them to be seen I also punched out white snowflakes too and placed them both on top of each other.

The stamps that I used on my card today are from The Greeting Farm’s Xmas Sweeties set …. I just can’t resist sweet Anya & Ian! I am also loving the new Eskimo Kiss designer papers from Basic Grey which I picked up while shopping last week … yum! I used my sewing machine to sew along the two edges of my acetate.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards (thanks for the fun name Jessica … I love it!) over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

Recipe:

Stamps: Xmas Sweeties – The Greeting Farm; Sentiment – Stamp It

Paper: White; Eskimo Kiss DP – Basic Grey

Other: Black Ink; MS Snowflake Punch; Sewing Machine; Red Grosgrain Ribbon; Acetate; Glitter Glue;  Foam Tapes; Copics

so fun and festive...and yes...we seemed to think of similar ways to use the acetate....great challenge, Hootsie, even though the photography aspect gave me some trouble

Frances, Your card is very cool. The little people are just darling and the way you combined the acetate is really nice. It was a bit of a "challenge" at first but turned out to be quite fun. smiles
