Have a Cool Yule & Hop Around The Block!

mft-cool-yule-duo-wm

Happy MFT release day everyone and welcome to my blog. It time to join the MFT Stamps Design Team for another "Hop Around the Block".

The hop started at Kim's (MFT Lady) blog so if you didn’t start from there you may want to head over there now so that you can start at the beginning of the hop. You don't want to miss anything and believe me there is lots to see!

Before I get onto my projects today ... this month's promo for the first 50 customers is Memento Dew Drop Collection, week 19! color: Rich Cocoa

The stamp set I am featuring today is “Cool Yule” which is just one of the 10 stamp sets that MFT Stamps is releasing today.

For my first project using this set I decided to make an advent calendar. This started out as a chipboard clipboard which I picked up recently from a shopping trip. I covered the clipboard with my designer paper. I stamped the penguins on my white card using black ink, and edged this piece with the Drippy Goo Border Punch.

I die cut two jumbo snowflakes and attached them to the centre of my clipboard and added glitter glue to the snowflakes. I punched out the numbers using a circle punch….. and yes it is only 51 days till Christmas … yikes!!!!!!!!

I wanted to add “Days Til Christmas” to my clipboard but wasn’t sure how I was going to do it with the clip part of the clipboard in the way. So I decided to create a little box to cover up the clip portion and added the wording using my computer to print out the wording.

Andy finally I decided to create a card. This time round I stamped the penguin and masked this and then stamped the iceblock so it appeared that the penguin was stamping on the iceblock. I used my oval nestabilities for the layers of the image.

Well that is enough from me for today … it’s time to continue on our hop around the block. This time you will be heading on over to Amy Sheffer's blog. Enjoy the rest of the hop and thanks for dropping by!
