In 2012, MFT is working harder than ever to inspire you, and we have come up with something we think you'll really enjoy. Our Design Team Creative Challenge is a new monthly feature, where we challenge our design team to explore their creative side using a specific theme, product or technique.
This month we are making " a teacher themed project" Be sure to check the MFT Blog for a list of all the designers who have creative ideas for you today!
For my project I decided to use MFT Stamps à la modes Talk Nerdy to Me and also à la modes You Rule to decorate a Pencil Box that I created using my new Sizzix Eclips and ECAL program.
I have made one of these pencils a few years back and last time I had to do it all by hand, but this time round I found it easy to convert the PDF file to a cutting file using the ECAL program. I decided this time round to all add the eraser to the end of the pencil and the silver band to match the pencil that the à la modes girl was holding.
I have added some pens in my box, but of course you could fill it with anything … chocolate, pens, pencils whatever a teacher might need.
Here is another view of the pencil box with the top open.
And finally one a close up so you can see the inside of the pencil box.
Don’t forget to visit Kim's Blog for a full list of designers that have taken up the challenge!
