MFT Umbrella3 wm

I have a number of projects to share with you today using the new Die-namics being released tomorrow, I have had so much fun playing I almost couldn’t stop!!!!!

My first project I have used the new Die-namics Cone Treat Box to create the umbrella …. this is soooooo easy to create all you need to do is die cut two of the Die-namics Cone Treat Box using either designer papers or card whichever you prefer, fold along each score line and then attach the tab of one of the die cuts to the other die cut .. then just decorate as you wish.

MFT Umbrella2 wm

I used a piece of bamboo for my umbrella handle and used Whip Cream Ribbon to tie a bow onto the handle. I decorate the top of the umbrella using the chick and flower dies from the Die-namics Easter Elements set.

MFT Heart Pouch2 wm

For my second project today I have again used the Die-namics Cone Treat Box to create a heart pouch. There are so many things that you can create using this Die-namics die other than what it is intended for, it is definitely a must have in my book Smile.

MFT Heart Pouch wm

Here is a closer look at my heart pouch. To create the heart, just die cut the Die-namics Cone Treat Box once and fold in half and attach the tab to the other side … again sooooo easy! I decorated my heart again with flowers from the Die-namics Easter Elements set. I used the Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX for my sentiment which is from the You Make My Day sentiment set also being released tomorrow.

MFT CarrotBunch wm

For my third project today I decided to use the Die-namics Cone Treat Box to create some carrot boxes to put some goodies in for Easter gifts.

MFT Carrot wm

I kept my carrot boxes fairly plain using Orange Fizz cardstock  for the main part of the carrot and Sour Apple cardstock for the top of the card. To create the carrot tops I used the largest flower from the Die-namics Easter  Elements set and one of the buttons from the Die-namics Button Border. I used Honeydew Twine to secure the two die cuts together.

MFT Lattice Basket wm

After making all those carrot boxes I decided I needed something for them to sit in so I decided to make a box using the Die-namics Lattice Fence.

MFT Instruction1 wm

To create the box you will need the following:

  • 4 die cut lattice fences using the Die-namics Lattice Fence ( I used Sweet Tooth cardstock)
  • 8 Fence Posts (also from the Die-namics Lattice Fence)
  • Cardstock to match the color of your fence which measures 6 1/4 inches square.

MFT Instruction5 wm

1. Take the 6 1/4 inch sheet of card and score around each side at 1 1/4 inches. (I have drawn a pencil line on one of my score lines so you can see it clearer in the photo.)

MFT Instruction2 wm

2. Cut the slits at the top and bottom of the scored lines as per the photo above. I also like to cut at a slight angle so that the sides sit better when the box is made up.

MFT Instruction3 wm

3. Place adhesive on each tab and assemble your box.

MFT Instruction4 wm

4. Fold each of the lattice fences along the left edge of the 3 post (you can see my pencil line on the fence on the front of my photo above.

MFT Instruction6 wm

5. Apply adhesive to the top and bottom rail of each of the fences (or if you prefer you can apply adhesive to the top and bottom of the box sides, but placing it on the fence you know it won’t be seen once you attach it to the box.)

MFT Instruction7 wm

6. Adhere the first fence to one side of the box and around to the other side of the box.

MFT Instruction8 wm

7. To attach your second (and remaining panels) line up the end of the fence to the existing fence already adhered to the box.

MFT Lattice Basket wm

8. Once you have all sides on your box, place some adhesive onto your fence posts and attach them over your existing fence posts on the box.

You could decorate your box with flowers, chicks, grass etc if you so wished. But after playing around with my box I decided I liked it as it was.

MFT CarrotBasket wm

And finally my completed Lattice Fence Basket filled with Carrot Boxes.

Here are the MFT products I used to create my projects today.
