Tennis Anyone?

TennisLotsPops1-wm

Hi everyone,

Before I get onto today's blog post I have some exciting news to share with you all. Elizabeth Craft Designs has just announced their first ever Design Team over on their Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog and I am on the team! Lots of talented ladies on that team!

Yesterday I posted a Pop Up Card for my friends birthday which featured designer paper. As I mentioned in the post, the paper also had a lady holding a tennis racket in her hand standing next to the golfer. As I didn’t need the tennis player I cut the paper in between them both. Well for my card today, I am using the left over paper from yesterdays card.

This Pop Up card is a skinny card measuring approx. 3 3/4inches wide (9cm).  That is one of the great things about Karen Burniston’s new Pop It Ups die range that she created for Elizabeth Crafts Designs, you can create whatever size card you like. For my card today I have used the Lots of Pops Die set.

Along the top edge of my card I used the Agatha Edges die set to create the shaped edge and the flourish underneath it.

Here is a close up of the bottom section of my card and the designer paper I used to create this card.

Let’s not forget the front of my card Smile … for this I used the reverse side of the designer paper. You can see how this pattern matches the pattern on the tennis players dress. I have also used two of the label dies from the Katie Label  Pivot Card die set to create the layers for the sentiment. I have kept the front very simple as the focus is of course on the inside.

So nice Frances - isn't it great when you can use up the whole sheet of paper and you don't have to deal with lots of scraps?
Cheers
