Sittin’ Here Thinking of You!

CCEE1413Let'sTalk-wm

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Joanne is our challenge hostess for March brings us her final challenge for the month.

We are going to follow a recipe this week.
Flowers + Pearls + Heat Embossing + Dry Embossing + Person Image

This challenge was definitely a challenge with all those ingredients LOL, my card started out going to be a pop up card using a different image and then I changed my mind and created a pivot card instead and close the the finish of the card I also changed the image I was going to use. But I did finally get everything on my card, you can’t see it all from the front because some of it is on the inside Smile.

The card base was created using the Pop It Ups Heart Pivot Card die set designed by Karen Burniston’s for Elizabeth Crafts Designs. I used the Dry Emboss Alcohol Resist Technique on the heart using one of Elizabeth Craft Designs new Hearts Entwined Embossing folders, that covered both the dry embossing and the heat embossing! I used ECD Flower Set 2 to create the flower and added a pearl to the centre of the flower .. that’s 4 of the 5 ingredients done!

On the inside of my card I added two people … this is a stamp from Art Impressions and normally the girls are back to back, but I cut them apart and added them to both sides of my card. I added a couple of chat bubbles to the heart areas which shows the messages they are typing to each other.

Here is a close up of the left side of my card. The edges of both sides of the card were shaped using one of the edge dies from the Agatha Edges Die set and then I added the flourish from this set.

Great use of the card format with those sentiments and your cut-apart ladies! Including both types of embossing was what I had to keep my mental focus on! Having a front and an inside would certainly have made things easier, why ever didn't I think of that.
