Happiest of Birthdays

Hi everyone,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Maryann Einam the challenge hostess for October continues to issue the challenges.

This week  Maryann has challenge us to create a something using acetate.

I had a couple of things floating in my head that I could do for this challenge, but in the end I decided to create a Shaker Card on an Accordion Card as this is something that I have wanted to do for a while. I have used the new Gift Card Accordion die set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. This die set will be available later this month.

I used a stamp set from Taylored Expressions to decorate my card. I used the two smaller rectangle frames from the Flourish Gift Frame die set to create my frame on the centre page of my card. As this is the shaker part of my card, this is where I have used the acetate. I added tiny seed beads for the shaker part ... I am thinking I might need to buy some sequins, I have resisted thus far!

Here is a close up of the middle and last page of my accordion card.

I used the new Flourish Gift Frame to decorate the front of my card.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

What a clever use of the acetate with this die set, which I saw on Karen Burniston's video yesterday.
