Shine - A Little Ray of Sunshine

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a card I created using stamps & dies from Concord and 9th.

To create the background of my card I used the Star Turnabout stamp, stamping the background three times using dye inks and a 4th time using VersaMark ink and embossing with gold embossing powder. This background was then die cut using Elizabeth Craft Designs Dashing Rectangles.

For the sentiment of my card I used the Shine On Clear Stamp set and coordinating die set. The top part of the "shine" sentiment was die cut from white cardstock that had Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape on the top and then covered using Desert Gold Silk Microfine Glitter. This was then layered to the layering die cut which has been stamped with a coordinating stamp a shade darker than the cardstock used to die cut the layer.

I gold embossed the "Little Ray of Sunshine" sentiment on black cardstock.

For the sun peeking out of the top right of the sentiment, I grabbed a scrap of white cardstock, covered it with VersaMark ink and poured Gold Embossing Powder over the top and heat embossed it. I then used this piece to die cut the sun.

For the inside of the card I stamped the "Let Your Light Shine" sentiment and then the light globe from the Shine On Stamp set onto a white card panel and gold embossed it. I stamped a few embellishments at the top of the card repeating the colors I used on the front of the card.
