Just A Little Note To Say

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing two birthday cards I created recently.

I recently purchased MFT Stamps Happy Birthday Block die which was from their July release. As soon as I received it I had to start playing. As I was inlaying the die cut pieces from one die cut, meaning I needed to die cut two different colors of cardstock I decided I might as well make two cards while I was at it.

I used the Happy Birthday Block die and Elizabeth Craft Designs Dashing Square die to die cut my panel from black cardstock.

I also created a panel using Distress Oxide inks in Salty Ocean; Candied Apple; Squeezed Lemonade and Carved Pumpkin. After adding the inks and spritzing with water, I then added gold splatters using my Tansai Gansam Starry Nights paints and then some white splatters using Copic Opaque White ink. Once this panel was dry I used the two dies above to die cut my panel.

I adhered each panel onto a piece of cardstock that had Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape on the front and then inlaid the letters from the other panel.

For the bottom section of the card I stamped Hero Arts Candy Stripe Bold Print Background stamp onto a piece of white cardstock using black ink. I then adhere this to the base of a top folded black card.

I adhered the Happy Birthday Block panel to the top of the card.

To decorate my card I stamped the critters from the Lawn Fawn Critter Concert Clear Stamp set and added them to my card.

I stamped a sentiment included in the stamp set onto a strip of white cardstock and added it to the sentiment panel.

To finish off the front of the cards I added music notes which are from Lawn Fawn's Little Music Notes die set.

For the inside of my card I added the striped background to the bottom section of a white panel and added a sentiment and stamped music notes.

Cool cards - and great idea to make two of them and use up all bits and pieces.
