Hi Crafty Friends,
Happy New Year everyone, here is wishing 2020 brings everything good to us all!
Now that Christmas is over, I am catching up on making a stash of birthday cards using new products I either accumulated while I was busy making Christmas cards or that I received for Christmas.
Today I decided to pull out my Bright Rosa Birthday Words die set to create a birthday card.
I created a top folding card from teal cardstock and then used the "Happy" and "Birthday" dies from the die set to die cut the Happy Birthday sentiment. I then used Catherine Pooler Daydream ink and a blending brush to add some shading to my card. Masking the inside of the card, I splattered gold paint all over the front of the card.
I die cut the Happy Birthday again, this time using gold pearlescent cardstock, trimmed the top and bottom and adhered it over the Happy Birthday on the teal card.
I stamped Mama Elephant's Cherry Blossom Branch onto white cardstock, colored and cut the image out and attached to the front of the card using foam tape.
For the inside of my card, I added a sentiment from the Mama Elephant stamp set. This was stamped and layered using Hero Arts Wood Frame Infinity die to create the border and layers for the sentiment.
I stamps a few more of the single flowers and petals and added them to the card. The flowers lower down in the card can be seen through the Happy Birthday die cut sentiment when the card is closed.
