Blessings Box

Hi Crafty Friends,

Divinity Designs has some exciting news to share with you today about a new Quarterly Subscription Kit, which is called Blessings Box. This will be full of member only products and the first kit is available to order today from Divinity Designs.

The January Blessings Box has a Valentine's theme to it, but remember most of what is available in the kit can be used for anything love related throughout the year, not just February. Today I am sharing two Valentine cards I created using some of the products included in the kit.

This kit contains a stamp set, two die sets, a paper pad, sequins, glitter paper and metallic papers etc. You can see a video of the contents of the Blessing Box here

I was super excited when I saw that one of the dies included in the kit was a heart layering set called Heart Layering Combo die set. This set contains 4 heart dies, three of which layer together to create a beautiful layered heart. Divinity Designs has a Layering Hearts Combo Die instruction video here.

I decided to use the Heart Layering Combo with the special papers included in the kit which are pink and red sparkly paper and red metallic paper for all the layers. For the solid layer at the bottom of the heart, I used the pink paper included in the Sweet Hearts Collection Paper Pack which is also included in the kit.

I layered the heart to rectangle panels, using the Double Stitched Rectangles and Rectangles die sets. I stamped the "Valentine's" sentiment along the bottom of the white rectangle, this sentiment is from the Fill My Heart stamp set also included in the kit.

The die cut hearts around the sentiment are some of the red metallic hearts which are the negative pieces when die cutting the layering heart dies.

Finally I added my panel to a rectangle of patterned paper and a folded red card base.

For the inside of my card I have used a piece of the leftover patterned paper I used on the front of the card. I also added another sentiment and the arrow also included in the Fill My Heart Stamp set.

I also added a few more left over red metallic hearts to the top of the sentiment.

For my second card today I used the Shaker Heart Frame die set to create a shaker card. The heart frame is die cut using the red glitter paper included in the Blessings Box kit. For the shaker elements inside the heart, I used three different colors of sequins which are included in the kit.

The sentiments are from the Fill My Heart stamp set, also in the kit. I used the dies from the Sentiment Strips die set to die cut the "Happy Valentine's Day" sentiment on the right hand side of the card.

The patterned paper is from the Sweet Hearts Collection Paper Pad, I added a border to the bottom edge which is from the Beautiful Borders die set.

Divinity Designs has a Shaker Card instructional video using the Shaker Heart Frame die set which you can view here

For the inside of my card I added the heart image from the Fill My Heart stamp set which was inked using 4 different colors of ink. I added the sentiment over the top which is from the same stamp set and die cut using the Sentiment Strips die set.
