Bloom Inside and Out

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Being a brand new month it's time to introduce a new challenge hostess which is Maryann Einam.

For our challenge this week, Maryann has asked us to make a card or invitation highlighting a floral arrangement.

I have been having fun playing with some of new Bright Rosa dies, many of these are very different to what is already on the market. I  recently purchased the Sunflower Band die set which is what I used for my card today. This die set comes with two different sized sunflowers, large and small. I have used the small one on my card today. These sunflowers can be used just to decorate a card or item, create belly bands or add inside a card for a pop-up card.

As you may have noticed I didn't create a sunflower, but instead too inspiration from the patterned paper used on this card and created a pink flower.

For the sentiment I used Honey Bee Stamps Bloom die set.

For the inside of the card I used the sunflower band die set to create a pop-up card. I also used leaves from Bright Rosa's Fern Border die set on either side of the sunflower.

To finish off the card I added a sentiment to the lower left hand corner which is from Honey Bee Stamps Bloom stamp set. This was stamped onto an oval from Spellbinders' Mega Ovals die set. I added another oval to the top right hand corner for a hand written greeting.
