Welcome to our Karen Burniston - KB Riley LLC July Release Blog Hop. The Design Team have come together  with Karen today for a fun blog hop to celebrate the release of 16 new dies. The Design Team are all excited that sneak peeks for the new release starts today. 

This release includes:

• A new addition to our popular Surprise Ball Pop-up die set, a smaller version called the Bitty Ball Pop-up.
• Two generic pop-up die sets - Flip Frame Pop-up and Pop 'n Swap Pop-up
• Purse Pop-up die set which can be used as a purse or a suitcase
• Add-on die sets for the Surprise Ball Pop-up and Bitty Ball Pop-up die sets to help you create lots of un animals - Animal Add-on 1 and Animal Add-on 2.
• A new Pattern Plate -  Fronds
• Three new charm sets - Dolled Up Charms; Backyard Charms and Fast Food Charms
• Three new word sets - Go Wild; With Sympathy & Word Set 12 - Anniversary
• Two new character die sets -  Safari Animals and Gnome & Santa
• Landscape Scene die set

Late last year, Karen released the Surprise Ball Pop-up die set. I have been having so much fun with that die set as have many of the peeps over on Facebook, animals and other characters seem to be very popular using this die. This time around Karen has released three new sets which can coordinate with the Surprise Ball Pop-up. 

For my card today I used the new Bitty Ball Pop-up die set to create my fox. The Bitty Ball is a smaller version of the Surprise Ball and can be used to create smaller animals, fit in smaller sized cards or used together so you have a smaller head and larger body ... whatever you want to do. There are a few additional dies included in the set to create some animals.

Also included in this release are two add-on sets ... Animals Add-ons 1 & Animals Add-ons 2. Animals Add-ons 1 contains dies to create a pig, fox & cat and Animals Add-on 2 a hippo, elephant  & giraffe. You can also make other animals using the dies from all the sets, the sky's the limit.

I used the new Bitty Ball Pop-up and Animals Add-on 1 die sets to create the fox, which I positioned in the centre of a tri-told card. 

On the right side of my card I added a computer generated sentiment using the Crosshatch Ovals die set.

The left side of the card I also used the Crosshatch Ovals for my "tab" and added a sentiment from the Word Set 4 - Just A Note die set.

The tiny fox is from the Woodland Animals die set.

Here is a close up of the front of my little fox. I opted to use the Bitty Ball Pop-up for both the head and body. But I could also make a larger fox if I wanted using the Surprise Ball Pop-up, or I could use the Surprise Ball Pop-up for the body and the Bitty Ball Pop-up for the head. All options will give a slightly different size and depends on what size card you want to use. 

Using the two Bitty Balls for my fox today meant my card was closer to a standard size card, being 4 1/2 inches x 5 3/4 inches. I probably could have taken the 1/4 inch off both sides to make it a standard card size, but being the first card I made using this die set, I didn't want to risk it.

The arms and feet are included in the Bitty Ball Pop-up die set. All other pieces are from the Animals Add-on 1 die set.

And one last photo of my fox ... I just love this little fox!

The card is kept closed using magnets which are hidden in the flap of the tri-fold card and the large oval on the front of the card. The other magnets are hidden under the other oval on the right hand side of the card when it is open.

I added the "Go Wild" sentiment which is another new die set from Karen Burniston and added another little fox die cut.
