Celebrate Rainbow Slimline

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a rainbow themed Slimline card I created recently.

I recently purchased Mama Elephant's Quick Stripes die which creates stripes in four different widths. I spent a morning going through my scrap card bin and die cut a heap of card in various colors. I now have a container full of colourful stripes to use to decorate cards. Of course my scrap bin is still overflowing ... sigh!

Of course I couldn't resist using the stripes to create a rainbow background. I adhered the stripes onto a piece of photocopy paper, adding the stripes in rainbow order. I trimmed my panel down to fit onto my Slimline card.

The sentiment is a die from Catherine Pooler, I am looking for skinny long sentiments that would work on slimline cards. To finish off the card I added a few clear drops randomly over the card.

For the inside of the card, I added the left over stripe of rainbow background to the right hand side of the card.

I pulled out an older Paper Inspirations sentiment stamp to add the birthday sentiment. This long sentiment is perfect for tall Slimline cards.

Such a cool die, to cut all those strips. Great card you made with them too. I'm craving rainbow colours these days.
