The Rainbow of Life ….

CCEE1405Umbrella1-wm

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. This week our challenge hostess for January Sabrina Friel finishes off the month with another fun challenge.

This week Sabrina tells us that where she lives in Ireland it rains at this time of year. A lot. Umbrellas are very important. Bonus points if you also bring good raingear along :D, but sunshades and beach umbrellas are also perfectly suitable for the challenge.

For my card today I decided to create a Centre Step card using my Cheery Lynn Designs Step Card Template die. For my image I used Stampavie’s Lily & Milo Rainy Day.

Sabrina has challenged us to Use a bird/birds and music. It doesn’t have to be music paper or
    embellishments, song lyrics count too
    .

For my card this week I used Stampavie’s Whooo Luvs ya stamp set … owls are birds hehe! For the music part of this challenge I used music designer paper to create the flower.

    Tickles!

    StampavieTickles wm

    Hi everyone,

My card today uses a stamp from Stampavie, it’s called Tickles. I cut out the middle portion of the front of my card and inserted a piece of acetate instead so that the sentiment can be seen from the outside of my card.

The flowers used on this card are made from paper clay and then airbrushed using my copic airbrush.

    StampavieTickles2 wm

Here is another view of the front of my card with it standing up as you normally would stand the card, the top photo I had it closed leaning against the background so I could get a good photo.

    StampavieTickles3 wm

Here is the inside of my card, the sentiment is near the bottom of the card so it can be seen though the acetate on the front.

Stamp: Tickles – Stampavie; Happy Birthday – Printworks
Paper: White; Red; Fine & Sunny DP – Kaisercraft
Other: Black Ink; Brands; Paper Clay; Flower Mold; MFT Die-namics Circle Stax 1 & 2; MFT Die-namics Squiggle Border; Acetate; Red Ribbon; Foam Tape; Copics

    Look Who’s Turning 2!

    Stampavie Two wm

    Hi everyone,

I recently purchased the full set of 0 –9 Shaped Cards SVG files from The Cutting Cafe, after seeing a sample someone else had on their blog. Of course the first number birthday I had to try out was # 2 as my Grandson will be turning 2 in late May!

    Stampavie Two 2 wm

The image I used on my card is one from Stampavie which I just love. The sentiment at the top left hand corner of the card was also included with the cutting file, actually you get two sentiment options witch each number.

    Stampavie Two 3 wm

And finally the inside of my card, I stamped the sentiment to the left side of the card so it wouldn’t be seen when the card was closed.

Stamps: A Special Delivery – Stampavie; Happy Birthday – Stamp It
Paper: White; Blue; A Boy’s Life DP – Echo Park
Other: Black Ink; 2 Shaped Card SVG file – The Cutting Cafe; Rhinestones; Sizzix Eclips; ECAL; Foam Tape; Copics

    A Little Bird Told Me!

    Little Bird wm

    Hi everyone,

The “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog are back with our first challenge for 2012. Being a brand new year and month we have a new challenge hostess which this time round is Joanne Grzelak.

Seeing that it is a brand new year and with Christmas not long gone, many of us have new toys to play with Joanne has given us a fabulous challenge this week.

New year….new ‘toys’…..new techniques. Do or use something NEW on your card/project.

The image I have used on my card today is one I received from a good friend as a Christmas present. It is from Stampavie and is called Belinda & The Cardinal, isn’t she just so cute. I paper pieced her dress & bow using designer paper. The sentiment used on the front of my card is from Kraftin’ Kimmie, I thought it was perfect with this image, don’t you think!

    Little Bird2 wm

Here is the inside of my card, the cardinal is separate from the girl in the stamp set, so it was each to stamp it twice on the  inside of the card. The sentiments are two more from Kraftin’ Kimmie.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

Stamps: Belinda & the Cardinal – Stampavie; Sentiments – Kraftin’ Kimmies
Paper: White; Red; Blue; Quite Contrary DP – My Mind’s Eye
