Easter Egg Hunt

POD-EasterBench1-wm

Hi everyone,

As promised yesterday I am back today with another card for Karen Burniston’s Designer Challenge.

Check out the Elizabeth Crafts Designs blog on Wednesday when you will be able to see what all the designers created for the challenge this month, plus Karen Burniston will have another of her amazing video tutorials for us.

This time round Karen has asked us to use any of the Pop It Ups dies to create a card with a Spring theme.

Now as I mentioned yesterday, Easter isn’t Spring for me it’s Autumn as I live in Australia. But as it is Spring for you and Easter is almost here no matter where you live I decided to go with that option again.

POD-EasterBench2-wm

As you can see I have used the Garden Bench Pop-Up die again to create my card. But this one is different in that this time I have created a Floating floor, I have been wanting to create a floating floor on the Garden Bench ever since Karen posted it on her blog earlier in the year, but until now I just haven’t had the time.

For my card I played with my new Purple Onion Designs stamps which I purchased earlier in the year and again until now haven’t been able to play with.

I have also used the All Season Tree, but this time I added Easter Eggs to my tree rather than leaves. I also used the clouds from the All Season Tree to create the clouds in my sky.

POD-EasterBench3-wm

Here is another view of my card … you can see the floating floor a lot easier on this photo. You can also see my grass and Easter Eggs hiding in the grass along the front part of the floating floor.

POD-EasterBench-wm

And of course let’s not forget the front of my card. I added the Purple Onion Designs Poppy again on the front, which is layered using the ovals from the Oval Accordion Card die set. I used the Agatha Edges to cut the fancy shape from my green card and also to add the blue flourish above it.

If you are looking to purchase Karen’s Pop It Ups dies in Australia you can find them at Photo Continental…. they have just received another order and this time round it includes ALL the Elizabeth Craft Designs Dies.

Don’t forget to check out the Elizabeth Crafts Designs blog on Wednesday when you will be able to see what all the designers created for the challenge this month.

Here are the products I used on my card today:

Stamps: Sign; Poppy; Rosie – Purple Onion Designs; Easter Egg – Alota Rubber Stamps; Happy Easter – Penny Black
Paper: White; Blue; Green
Pop It Ups Dies: Garden Bench Pop-Up; Accordion Oval Card; Agatha Edges; All Season Tree – Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs

PIU-FrogOwlBench3-wm

For my card today I used the Pop It Ups Garden Bench Pop Up die set to create a fun Spring/Easter card. Now I must confess that for me Easter isn’t in Spring seeing that I live in Australia where it is now Autumn …. but I still had fun making this card Smile.

To decorate my card I used stamps from the Hero Arts Sending Happy Thoughts stamp set.

PIU-FrogOwlBench4-wm

To create the shaped edges at the top and bottom of my card I used one of the edges from the Agatha Edges die set.

I also added the sentiment using some of the labels from the Katie Label Pivot Card die set.

PIU-FrogOwlBench5-wm

Behind the Garden Bench I used the All Seasons Tree …. I decorated the tree using the 3 different leaves from the tree and also some flowers seeing this is a spring card.

PIU-FrogOwlBench-wm

Hi everyone,
I have a couple more samples to share with you today using two of the new release stamp set Words4Circles from The Stamps of Life.

These stamps work so well with the Sizzix Triple Circle Flip-its card framelits set that I ended up making two cards using this die.

I May Be Crazy ….

C4C226CrazySentiment-wm

Hello everyone,
It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Kelli Hull our challenge hostess for March brings us another fun challenge.

Kelli have challenged us this week to create a Sentiment only card, tons of layers or CAS, Sentiment is the centre of attention.

I decided to create two cards for this week’s challenge and I have used stamps from The Stamps of Life’s new Crazy4Life sentiment stamp set which was released yesterday. Seeing the girls on the Crazy 4 Challenges team refer to each other as “Crazies” I thought this was an appropriate set to use today Smile.

For my first card I have used Sizzix Decorative Label Flip-its Card die and the coordinating Sizzix Decorative Labels Framelits set. The banners at the top of the card are from TSOL’s Banner4Jeanne die set which was released last month.

C4C226CrazySentiment2-wm

Here is the “flip” side of my centre panel, As you can see I used another sentiment from the Crazy4Life sentiment stamp set.

C4C226MayBeCrazy-wm

For my second card I decided to create a standard top fold card using another of the sentiments from the Crazy4Life sentiment stamp setI am loving this stamp set. I have again used the banners from the Banner4Jeanne die set to decorate this card.

    TSOL New Stamps Released

    TSOLBeautifulDay-wm

     Hi everyone,

The Stamps of Life are releasing three new stamp sets today…. patterns4flowers; crazy4life and words4circles. As I have quiet a few cards using all these stamp sets, I am going to spread these out over the next few days.

The cards I am sharing with you today all used the new patterns4flowers stamp set which coordinates with this months club stamp & die set Crazy4Daisies, which I have also used on most of these cards.

For my first card I have used both stamp sets to create this fun scene. The patterns4flowers stamp set includes the stems; additional patterns to add to the centre of your petals and additional sentiments.
I used the solid petals from the Crazy4Daisies stamp set to create the leaves on the stems and for my sun I used the largest flower stamping it in yellow. To finish off my scene I added a few bees from the bee4me stamp set.

    TSOLBeautifulDay2-wm

For the inside of my card I added one of the new sentiments from the patterns4flowers stamp set and the tiny daisies from the crazy4daisies stamp set.

    TSOLPatternsFlowers-wm

For my second card I have used the tiny daisies from the crazy4daisies stamp set to create the background and added a sentiment from the pattern4flowers stamp set. The sentiment is layered using the Sizzix Majestic Labels #2 Die. I used the Sizzix Squares in Ovals Embossing Folder to create the texture on the pink panel.

    TSOLCrazyDaisyStandUp-wm

My next card uses the Sizzix Circle Stand-Ups Card die. I have used the three new centres included in the patterns4flowers stamp set on my small daisies. The centres of the flowers have been covered with Glossy Accents and then I added micro fine glitter.

    TSOLCrazyDaisyStandUp2-wm

Here is another view of my daisy stand-ups card.

    TSOLPinkThanksBunch-wm

For my final card today I have used the Crazy4daisies stamp set on the outside of my card. The green border at the bottom of the white panel was created using TSOL’s Wavy Border Dies.

    TSOLPinkThanksBunch2-wm

For the inside of my card I used a sentiment from the patterns4flowers stamp set.
I will be back tomorrow to share a couple of cards using the Crazy4life stamp set.

    You Color My World!

    CCEE1410Art1-wm

    Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Being a brand you month, it is time to introduce our challenge hostess for March which is Joanne Grzelak.

Michelangelo’s birthday was March 6, 1475, Let’s honor this wonderful artist with our cards this week. Either have a sentiment that refers to ART in some way or have an image that shows an artistic tool (ex. paintbrush, pen, artist palette). Let’s get our artsy vibes flowing.

For my card today I have created a pop up card using the Lucy Label Pop Up die set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Crafts Designs.

    CCEE1410Art-wm

I have recently started reorganising some of my clear stamp sets and unmounted stamp and while I was doing this I discovered my Rubber Romance stamps and as I was organising them this fun Rachel the Artist stamp which I thought would be perfect for my card today.

The sentiment used here is one from The Stamps of Life’s Words4Crayons stamp set … I used the Sizzix/Karen Burniston Banner & Borders Framelits set to layer the sentiment.

    CCEE1410Art2-wm

On the inside of my card I used two different art themed stamp sets to stamp all over the base of my card using different colored inks.

I added the sentiment to the two pop up pieces, this is another sentiment from The Stamps of Life’s Words4Crayons stamp set.

    CCEE1410Art3-wm

Here is another view of the inside of my card this time from the side.

Don’t forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:
