Hi Crafty Friends,
It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Being a brand new month, it's time to introduce our new challenge hostess for the month which is Nicky Foden.
Apparently tomorrow (3rd November) is Candy Day according to the days of the year calendar. So for our challenge today we are to make a candy themed card.
For my card today I created a Rockin' Rectangle Card using the Karen Burniston die set. You can see a quick video of my card in action in the video above.
For the liquorice allsorts background, I used a stamp included in a freebie stamp set from the Creative Stamping Magazine Issue 39. I used my MISTI to stamp the image multiple times on three pieces of white cardstock. Once I had colored in a liquorice all sorts, I then colored the background using Copic markers.
I stamped Honey Bee Stamps Mae the Mouse adhered the mouse to the rectangle panel on the right hand side of the card. I cut around the mouse's arms so it could hold some more or the liquorice all sorts.
The two sentiments used on the inside of the card are also from the freebie stamp set.
For the front of the card, I added another of the stamped background panels I created and added the sentiment "You're Sweet!" which is a die from Karen Burniston.
