Hi Crafty Friends!
Welcome to our November Karen Burniston Designer Challenge.
Check out Karen Burniston's blog on Wednesday (US Time) when you will be able to see what all the designers created for the challenge this month, plus Karen will have an amazing video tutorial to share with us all.
Our challenge theme this month is .... "HOLIDAY ACCORDIONS" - use the Charm Accordion or the Fancy Label Accordion for a holiday-themed card.
For my card today I opted to use the Fancy Label Accordion, this was probably one of the first Karen Burniston dies I purchased all those years ago!
As you can see I selected the traditional Christmas colors, red and green to create my card. I alternated the colors and layered each of the panels using coordinating patterned papers.
To decorate my card I used MFT Stamps Christmas sELFie stamp set ... this is such a fun stamp set and I selected the images that featured Santa, Elves and Reindeers. Each of the images are set into a square border, so for the three fancy label panels I kept with the square, layering the square to the fancy label layering die included in the Fancy Label Accordion die set.
I used sentiments from MFT Stamps Bitty Holiday Wishes stamp set which I alternated attaching to the top and bottom of each of the panels.
For something different, I decided to add a square panel at the end of the accordion card. I added Karen Burniston's Merry Christmas sentiment which is layered onto ovals from the Crosshatch - Ovals die set.
Finally I added Santa and Rudolf to the bottom of the end panel which is also from the Christmas sELFie stamp set, but this time I trimmed around the image to remove the square.
Here is a look at my card when it is closed ready to be placed in an envelope. I added another sentiment, this time from the Christmas sELFie stamp set.
