Sweet As A Rose

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog.  Being a brand new month it's time to introduce our new challenge hostess which is Vicky Gould.

The Birth Flower for June is the Rose. Symbolically, the rose has more meanings including the following:
  • A pink rose means perfect happiness, while a red rose means “I love you.”
  • A white rose signifies innocence, purity, and new beginnings.
  • A yellow rose conveys jealousy!
  • A bouquet of roses means sincere gratitude, whereas a single rose amplifies the meaning of the color (a single red rose means “I REALLY love you”).

For our challenge this week make a card with a single rose or a bouquet of roses…or however many roses you want!  Happy Rose Day!

I was given a paper pad a few months ago and I have been wanting to use some of the papers included in it. The flowers on the paper used on this card could be roses, so I decided to use it for the inspiration of my card.

I used Altenew's Sweet Rose Bouquet stamp set and coordinating die set to add the flowers on the main panel of my card. I used Hero Arts Oval Infinity die set for the layers.

I added a birthday sentiment using Taylored Expressions Birthday Simple Strips stamp set and coordinating die set.

I create a pop up card on the inside using Karen Burniston's Paper Frames die set. I added more roses using the altenew stamp set I used on the front of the card.

I added two sentiments to the labels on the pop up portion of the card. The birthday sentiment is from Stamping Village Birthday sentiments stamp set and the 'rose' sentiment is from an older Bebunni stamp set.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:
