Mad Hatter Slimline

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog.  It's a brand new month and time to introduce our challenge hostess for the month, which is ME!

Apparently the 6th October is Mad Hatter Day, so for our challenge this week create a card inspired by the theme … Hats, Alice In Wonderland, Mad Hatter etc.

As you can see by my card above, I decided to go with the Alice in Wonderland Mad Hatter scene. I did see a super cute stamp set which I would have loved, but with COVID and slow post from America right now, I decided to forget about that and go with something already in my stash.

I used Riley and Company's Mad MooseHatter and Sophie in Wonderland stamps.  I know the Mad Moosehatter is still available, but I don't think Sophie in Wonderland is anymore which included Alice with the Cheshire cat.

I created a Slimline Card using Lawn Fawn's Large Slimline with Sliders die set. I blended Distress Oxide ink in Tumbled Glass and Faded Jeans for the sky.

For the grass I used one of the grass borders from MFT Stamps Slimline Grassy Hills Die-namics.

To create my scene I used Lawn Fawn's new Lift the Flap Trees die which I cut apart so I could have one on the left side and two on the right. I also added some mushrooms using the Mushroom border die.

The tree trunk in between Alice and the Mad Hatter is from Lawn Fawn's Mom & Me Stamp set.

I added a sleeping bear from Den Sweet Den to the centre tree, I thought it could look a little like a dormouse. The cups and cake etc are from other Lawn Fawn stamp sets which are listed in my supply list below.

As this was a tea party, I added the Tea Time sentiment from The Stamps of Life's Tea4Two Stamp set.

For the inside of the card I created a pop up card using Lawn Fawn's Pop-up Hello die and Oliver's ABCs die set.

I added two of the trees from the Lift the Flap Trees die set.

I added another Mad Hatter image to the top of the pop up.

I used the grass borders from MFT Stamps Slimline Grassy Hills Die-namics to the edge of the bottom of the card and along the fold where the trees were.

I stamped sentiments inside the flaps on the trees and on the front grass which are also from The Stamps of Life Tea4Two stamp set.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:
