It’s been a while since I posted, but I finally have managed to get a few cards made & photographed so I could get them blogged.

For my card today I am playing with the Made to Make kit 2 designed by Sam Calcott, this kit was so popular it was sold out even before it was sent. I always love a nautical theme and couldn’t wait to play with the lighthouse die from the kit.

For my card base, I used the Cracker Tower die set from Made to Surprise by Sam Calcott.

I added layers on the back of the card, so I could add another sentiment and be able to add a personal message.

Today I am sharing another "Pooh" themed card I created using the Classic Pooh Collection from. Spellbinders.

I used Made to Surprise by Sam Calcott’s 5 x 7 Cracker Tower die set to create my card base.

This time round, I added Pooh to a large honey pot. I added Glossy Accents to the honey areas to give them more of a honey look.

Here is a look at the back of the card. I added a few more die cut elements from the Classic Pooh die sets. The birthday sent is from Made To Surprise’s Moving Along Sentiment stamp set. 

Tee-riffic 60th Birthday

It seems that this year my friends (and myself) are celebrating big ‘0’ birthdays, be it 60; 70 or 80! So there will be lots of opportunities to pull out my various number dies to make aged birthday cards.

For as long as I can remember (over 20 years) I have made my friend who loves to play golf a golf themed birthday card. Last year when I was ill and not stamping I was unable to make a special card, but fortunately I did have a golf themed card that I had in my stash.

When I was thinking about what type of card to make this year, I remembered the Made To Surprise Circle Cracker Tower Card. The circles down each side of the centre panel are perfect for golf balls. I used a very old Cuttlebug embossing folder to give the circles a golf ball look,

This year my friend is celebrating her 60th birthday, so I decided to pull out the new Spellbinders Bougie Birthday die set to create the cake which I decorated in a golf theme.

I used light brown cardstock for the cake and green for all the icing elements. The ‘60’ is from Spellbinders Classy Numbers die set, which are diecutting from silver mirror cardstock.

I added the cute golfing gophers (or is that golphers haha) which are from La-La Land Crafts Tee-riffic stamp set. 

I added the birthday sentiment which is an older die set from Spellbinders. The sentiment is die cut from silver mirror cardstock & layered onto a layer the same colour as the cake, so that it gave some height but didn’t overwhelm the scene.

For the back of the card, I added a panel to the centre. The golf green uses an older stamp from Magnilia Stamps. I added another of the gophers to the l green”. For the sentiment I doctored & combined two sentiment from the Made To Surprise Go Sporty stamp set.

Today I have three more Christmas cards to share with you using stamps & dies from Made to Surprise by Sam Calcott’s Festive Towers Collection.

All these cards are basically the same other than the colouring of one of the stacks of presents.

I used the Circle Cracker Tower die set for the base of my card. 

The stack of presents is from the Festive Fun stamp & die set. I used the Festive Towers Tartan Embossing Folder to add texture to the white centre panel.

I stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment onto white card and added it to the centre of the present stack.

I added a Christmas sentiment using the sentiment stamp set from the Festive Towers Collection. 

 

Snowman Cracker Tower Card

Today I am sharing two Christmas cards I created using stamps, dies & papers from Made to Surprise by Sam Calcott’s Festive Towers Collection. Sam’s original Tower Collection was my first set I purchased back in 2020, I loved that set and knew I would love this collection too. 

It feels good to be able to finally get to play with at least one of Sam’s new collections from this year. Sam showcased my cards using her dies on her Mixed Up Crafts Facebook page around about the time I became ill and stopped making cards. You can see her article here. I may not have been creating cards, but my only purchases for the majority of the year were her releases.

Both of my cards today are the same. I used the 5 x 7 Cracker Tower die set for the base of my card. I kept the layering simple using papers from the Festive Towers Collection. The snowman, trees & lamppost are all from the Festive Fun stamp & die set. Unfortunately all are sold out at present.

Here is a side view of my card, the pink sentiment is from the Festive Sentiments set which is a set of papers in teals & pinks with various Christmas sentiments to cut out.
