Snowman Easel

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Christmas themed Easel Card I created while I was making Christmas in July cards last month.  Once  I got into that Christmas card making mode, it was hard to get out of it and as I still have cards to get made for Christmas this year I will pop a few on here each month.

For this card I used the North Pole Sentiments die set which included the snowmen, and the pole and sentiments on the pole ... it's such a fun set.

I used Spellbinders Snowfall Shimmer Betterpress Plate to white glimmer foil the snowflake background onto a panel of blue cardstock. I am loving this plate!

I used Trinty Stamps Arch- Shaped Card die set to create the Arch Shaped Easel card.

I added white glitter cardstock to the base and also the main panel of the card for snow.

Here is a look at my card, when it is folded. It will fit into a standard A2 Envelope.

Holding Santa Mug

Hi Crafty Friends,

I'm back today with another Christmas card using the products from Spellbinders July 2025 Club Kits which had a Christmas in July theme.

For my card I created a 5 x 7 card. I used the Betterpress Plate of the Month - Festive Press which I white foiled onto teal cardstock. I love how easy this Betterpress Plate was to line up so I could create a 5 x 7 panel.

I used Spellbinders Matting Basics A & B die sets to die cut my panels to add to my 5 x 7 top folding white card base.

I used the Large Die of the Month - Mugs & Mittens to create the hands holding the mug with Santa. This is such a fun die set, I used it with the mug for this card, but I am looking forward to looking for other images to add to the hands.

The Merry Christmas is an older Glimmer set which I also glimmered using white foil.

For the inside of my card, I printed a digital sentiment I received from Verve Stamps many years ago, I like that it relates to both Christmas & the mug. I added another mug to the top of the sentiment, adding the snowman to the top of the mug.

Nativity Open Book

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I have three Nativity themed Mini Slimline cards I created for Christmas in July.

For this card I used Waffle Flower Crafts Open Book die set along with the Open Book Nativity Stencil.

The background was created using Trinity Stamps Time Warp Letterpress Plate which I gold foiled onto white cardstock. I die cut the panel using Waffle Flower Crafts Mini Slimline Layers die set.

The sentiment is from the Open Book Holiday sentiment stamp set.

For the inside I added another sentiment from the stamp set. I added a star above using one of the stencils.

Scribbled A Note Mini

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing four teacher themed Mini Slimline cards I created using products from Spellbinders Mau 2025 Club Kits. This is four more of the 18 cards I need to make for my daughter’s Childcare Centre for September.

For the front of the card I used the pencils from the Glimmer of the month and the Alphabet Background from the Betterpress of the Month.

For the inside of my card, I added a stamped sentiment from MFT Stamps and then added a few more pencils randomly around the sentiment.

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like

Hi Crafty Friends,

Yeah ok … so it’s not beginning to look like Christmas just yet! It’s still seven months away, we can all keep breathing haha.

I finally got my hands on a few Christmas themed die sets I have been after from last year, so I decided to pull one out to play. This one is the Festive Friends die set which was Spellbinders October 2024 Small Die of the month, I recently came on sale on the Spellbinders web site, so I grabbed one.

For my card I created a Centre Step Card which I turned into a Centre Step Easel Card, I used an old Cheery Lynn Designs die set, which has long been retired. I have linked to a couple of others, the Divinity Designs one is exactly the same, but I like the insert for the inside on the one I used.

To add the panel to turn my card into an Easel Card, I cut a piece of Cardstock that was 5 1/2 inches x 6 inches and then scored along the 6 inch side at 1/2 inch, I then used the 1/2 inch tab to attach to the back of the card.

I went a little crazy with the penguins, making seven all up, I assembled two upside down, so that they were facing the opposite way, so they weren’t all the same.

I used glitter cardstock to create the snowy hill at the bottom of the card, the base is also glitter.

The sentiment is one from Mama Elephant, which I have used for the stopper of the card. I layered the sentiment using Spellbinders Essential Stylish Ovals.

For the polar bears jumper, after die cutting the piece, I used an embossing folder to add texture, rubbing white ink over the raised areas.

The card folds flat and will fit in a 6 inch square envelope.

Here is a look at the inside of my card and the easel base,

The Merriest Christmas is a Spellbinders Betterpress plate which I stamped using black ink.

Hello Baby

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a baby card with you. A few weeks ago I shared a baby boy card, so this time around I made a baby girl card.

The base of my card uses Creative Craft Products Accordion Stepper Card die set. The die makes it so easy to create.

To decorate my card, I used products from Spellbinders Little Smiles Collection.

To create the background that is on each of the panels, I used the Falling Stars Betterpress Plate. I foiled this using white glimmer foil doing each of the panels separately. Once the foiling was completed, I used the coordinating 3D embossing folder Wishing Stars which embosses in the empty spaces.

The panel on the top left was decorated using the Bundle of Joy die set. The large star on the bottom panel is from the Swinging Among the Stars die set.

To finish the front of the card, I added some Betterpress sentiments which is also included in the collection.

For the back of the card, I added the two larger panels. The blank one is to write a personal message. The other I decorated the same as those on the front, I then added the baby girl sentiment using stamps & dies from Trinity Stamps.

Butterfly Puzzle Slider Card

Hi Crafty Friends,

Welcome to my blog. Today I am sharing another card I creatd using products from Spellbinders January Club Kits.

This time around I created a puzzle slider card, I have seen a lot of these in A2 sizes but I wanted to make mine 5 x 7. To decorate the card I used the Spellbinders Take Flight Betterpress set with the coordination stencil. The sentiment is from Spellbinders A Little Messages Sentiments set.

Directions - 5 inch x 7 inch version:

1.    Cut a piece of cardstock to measure 5 inches x 11 inches, this will be the card base. Score along the long side at 1 inch; 2 inches; 9 inches and 10 inches. Fold on all score lines so you have a mountain, valley, valley & mountain folds.

2.    From the same colour cardstock as the card base above, cut two rectangles that are 4 inches x 2.5inches and two rectangles that are 3 inches x 2.5inches.

3.    Apply glue along the 1 inch panel on the left. Starting from the bottom adhere one of the 4 inch rectangles to this panel, making sure to line up with the left and bottom edges. Next adhere one of the 3 inch rectangles to the same left panel, making sure that it lines up with all edges including the bottom rectangle.

4. Using the remaining rectangles, adhere these in the opposite way as step 3 onto the right hand panel. So the 4 inch rectangle is on top and 3 inch on bottom.

5. Cut your layering pattern papers so they are 3 3/4 inches x 2 1/4 inches and 2 3/4 inches x 2 1/4 inches and adhere to relevant rectangles on card base.

6. Decorate card as desired. If you wish to add a panel to the inside of card, this will be 6 3/4 inches x 4 3/4 inches.

Here is a look at the inside of my card, I added the other butterfly included in the Betterpress set. The sentiment is from the Natures Dance Stamp/Die set.

Time For A Little Something

Hi Crafty friends,

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Today I am sharing a Mini Slimline card featuring more from Spellbinders Classic Pooh Collection.

I used Spellbinders Pooh and Friends Silhouette die for the main image of my card. I die cut it twice from black cardstock layering it for strength and adhered it with foam tape to a rectangle panel of slimline pattern paper I found in my stash of Whimsy Stamps Slimline paper pads.

To create the Mini Slimline card, I pulled out my Divinity Designs Mini Slimline Card dies ... the Mini Slimline Card Base Die; Mini Slimline Rectangle Dies and Mini Slimline Layering Rectangles Die sets. These take all the hard work of measuring and cutting the various layers and card base.

To finish off the front of the card, I added the sentiment which is from the Spellbinders Silly Old Bear Sentiments Betterpress Plate set.

For the inside of my card, I used the Mini Slimline dies to create my layers. I also die cut the Silhouette image again. from black cardstock and cut off Pooh, Piglet and Tigger and added them to the lower left hand corner of my card.

I added a sentiment to the panel which is from Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott's Feeling Happy Stamp Set.

Dragonfly Diamond Flip Fold Card

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I have another card I created using some of the products from Spellbinders January 2025 Club Kits. This time around I have made a Fancy Fold Card, this style of card is called a Diamond Flip Fold Card. My card is the 5inch x 7 inch version of the card and you can find a tutorial for it here.

I just love this dragonfly die from the Small Die of the Month Soaring Dragonfly die set. I. die cut the wings from black and three different colours of glitter card and then paper pieced them together. I selected the colours of the wings to go with the patterned paper I was using on my card.  The "Hello" sentiment is also included in the die set.

I used the January 2025 3D Embossing Folder of the month ... Stylized Lattice to add some texture to the front diamond shaped panel the dragonfly is attached to.

The "Hope Your Day Takes Flight" sentiment is from the January 2025 Betterpress of the Month - Take Flight set. There is a similar sentiment in the stamp set, but I preferred this one for the size etc.

When you open the card, the diamond panel on the front "flips" so it can be seen in the opened position.

I added another sentiment to the right hand side of the inside of the card. This time I did use the January 2025 Clear Stamp of the Month - Nature's Dance.

Deepest Sympathy

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing another sympathy card that I created recently with you. Last year when I pulled out my Betterpress supplies in readiness to make some Christmas cards, I discovered to card panels which had been either gold foiled or Betterpressed,  one was already coloured, the other diecut using a fancy rectangle die. Of course I pulled these both out and turned them both into sympathy cards which is what I need most to add to my stash of cards right now.

This card uses the Betterpress plate that came with the Betterpress System when I purchsed it some time ago. I had gold foiled it rather than put it through the Betterpress, which is one of the things I love about Betterpress plates ... you have option! It was already die cut using the largest die in Pinkfresh Studios Rounded & Braided Rectangles die set. After colouring the image, I layered it onto some gold cardstock, rounding two of the corners to match the white panel.

I created a 5 x 7 inch side folding card, and added a panel to the front which I embossed using Spellbinders Rosette Burst 3D Embossing Folder. I then added the floral panel to the card.

To finish off the card I added the sympathy senitment which is also gold foiled and is from Spellbinders Mini Everyday Messages Hot Glimmer Plate.

For the inside of the card, I added a panel the same as I used on the front of my card. I gold embossed a sentiment using Honey Bee Stamps Rainbow Bridge stamp set.

Merry Christmas

Hi Crafty Friends,

I have one last poinsettia themed Christmas card to share with you today. This card uses the Pinkfresh Studio Poinsettia Frame Betterpress Plate, I shared another card using this plate on Friday which you can see if you scroll down to the next post.

This time round, I opted not to die cut the poinsettia frame out with the coordinating die, instead I used the last stencil to cover the frame up and add background colour. I love this idea and I hope we will see this in other stencil sets in the future.

I added the foiled Merry Christmas to the centre of the frame. This is a Waffle Flower foil plate and is the negative piece of foil which was foiled onto blue card. I had this leftover from a previous project and as it suited this card went with it.

I added the sentiment to the inside of the card. This is a Betterpress plate from Spellbinders.
