Tomorrow is Another Day!

MFT Audrey wm

Hi everyone,

Welcome to day 3 of the MFTeasers in preparation of the release of the new stamp sets which are all due to be released by MFT Stamps this coming Tuesday 5th June.

Today the Design Team are featuring three of the new stamp sets that will be released, these are Claire Keay – Monkey Business; Complimentary Greetings and Clearly Sentimental About Audrey Hepburn (which will be July’s Triple Scoop set).

For my card today I used a recent SCS Sketch challenge (SC389). I added one of the sentiments from the Clearly Sentimental About Audrey Hepburn at the bottom of my card. The flower was created using the new Die-namics Plentiful Petals die, I added some Stone Twine to the button in the centre of the flower.

MFT Stamps Creative Chat

MFT JumpJoy wm
Hi everyone,
It's time for the MFT Creative Chat. The My Favorite Things Design Team Creative Chat is a monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative spaces and share valuable organizational methods, tools, and shopping strategies with you. You'll be able to peek into our creative spaces, ask questions, and share your own ideas in the MFT forum.  This month, we were challenged with the following:
  • Show us your creative mind at work.  Take us on a journey through a card-making session, start to finish.
  • How do you select colors, layout, embellishments, and overall design?
  • Share your creative process with us.
Visit Kim's Blog for a full list of designers that have taken up the challenge and get ready to delve into the minds of our creative team.

I have to admit when I first read this month’s topic I was scared!!!! However I am not one to shirk a challenge so I have created another video showing my creative process. Now I must warn you all my video is LONG, I tried to keep it as short as possible but how do you condense what normally takes hours. Fortunately my video won’t take you hours to watch Smile

My Creative Process!

The card you see at the top of this post is the final product from this challenge. I used MFT Stamps Pure Innocence Jump for Joy stamp set. The skipping rope was created using Caribbean Teal Twine. I used three MFT  Die-namics on this card which are:

Have A Howly Jowly Christmas!

C4C117-HowlyChristmas2-wm

Hi everyone,

The “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog are back with another fun challenge this week. Jessie Rone is our challenge hostess this week and she brings us our final challenge for the year as the “Crazies” are taking some time off leading up to Christmas … but we will be back with more challenges in January 2012.

IT”S SANTA!!!!  Make a card, or project with Santa on it!

I guess I cheated a little … the image on my card isn’t the Santa you are used to seeing LOL! But this cute little owl from The Craft’s Meow is dressed as Santa so I just had to use it for this challenge. Being an owl lover I just couldn’t help but order this stamp set!

The layout for my card uses a recent sketch from Splitcoast Stampers (SC360). I am loving this sketch and think I just might need to use it again!

C4C117-HowlyChristmas-wm

Here is the inside of my card, I copied the layout from the outside of my card. The sentiment is also included in the set I used for this card.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

Stamps: Happy Hoo-lidays – The Craft’s Meow
Paper: White; Red; Green; Christmas Eve DP – Jillibean Soup
Other: Black Ink; Circle Nestabilities; Red Ribbon; Green Twine; Button; Label Nestabilities; MS Holly Border Punch; Sizzix Embossing Folder; Micro Glitter; Foam Tape; Copics

The sets being shown today are “à la modes Ski Bunny” and “à la modes Hot Cocoa Cutie”.

For my card I used the à la modes Ski Bunny stamp set. The layout of my card uses a recent sketch from Splitcoast Stampers (SC359).

Along the side of my card I used one of the new release MFT Die-namics By The Letters. I also used the MFT Die-namics Let It Snowflake die.

MFT-ChristmasOrnaments-wm

I have two cards to share with you today! For my first card I have used the new Christmas Ornaments Die-namics & Stamp sets. I used this week’s CPS sketch challenge (CPS241) for the layout of my card.
This is such an awesome set … I have die cut the ornaments using designer paper and then stamped/die cut the pieces to go on top of the ornament. The tiny little tag also comes with the Die-namic die which I used with two of the sentiments included with the stamp set.

This is all layered using the Die-namics Open Scallops Doily die.

The border along the bottom edge of my card uses the negative portion of the Die-namics Crown Border die.

Have Hope!

MFTWSC42-PIHope-wm

Hi everyone,

It’s Wednesday which means it’s time for this week’s Wednesday Stamp Club sketch over on the MFT Stamps Member Forum of SCS. This week we are up to sketch #42 which I am sure you will love.

GetSketchy_DesignTeamblinkie

For my card this week I used MFT Stamps Pure Innocence Have Hope stamp set which was released earlier in the month. I have also used 2 MFT Die-namics on this card, these are the Die-namics Prima Donna Petals and the Die-namics Ticket Tab.

MFT Stamps have released three stamp sets this month in support of those affected by cancer; Who’s that Girl Chooses Hope, a la modes Fight Like a Girl, and Pure Innocence Have Hope.

Did you know that in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness month, MFT has pledged a $1500 donation to MD Anderson Cancer Centre.  You can read more about this and what else MFT is doing on a thread over on Splitcoast  Stampers which you can find HERE.
