Bodacious Faux Batik

It has been many years since I have played with the faux batik technique so I was happy to see it featured in this weeks "try a new technique" challenge on SCS. The last tried it I had to dilute reinkers into spray bottles I purchased and it was a hit or miss thing as to whether you had put enough reinkers in with the water to get the desired effect. Since then they have come out with products such as Adirondack Color Wash & Memories Mist etc, and as I had these products on hand I figured I would play with them this time for this technique.

I first stamped my flower stamp onto my mulberry paper using versamark ink and embossed using clear ep. Next I spritz on a little of the Cranberry colorwash, then some of the Blueberry shake memories mist and finally a touch of butterscotch (hmmm sounding more like something to eat then decorating a card doesn't it LOL - getting hungry just typing it!) The next step of course it to go iron it so you remove the embossing powder - I don't mind ironing cards just hate ironing clothes.

I used the flower from the Bodacious set for the middle inking it with marvy markers. (another of the sets I got Saturday)

Before I played with this technique today I went and fished out my samples that I made when I did this for a demo about 5 years back and found this card, so I thought I would share this too.
