Hi everyone,
It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Being a brand new month it is time to introduce our new challenge hostess, Liz.
For our challenge this week Liz tells us that ..... summer is rolling right in, so get things rollin’, show us your favorite
technique using a brayer. Google “stamping techniques using brayers” to get
some fabulous ideas going.
It has been some time since I have used my brayer as normally if I want to add color to my card, I pull out my Copic Airbrush. However a challenge is a challenge, so I pulled out my brayer and even an old Kaleidacolor ink pad. I was going to go in an entirely different direction to what I finally came up with, but after brayer my cardstock I spied a new stencil I purchased the day before and decided to use that to add a design to my brayered card.
As you can see I created a Pivot Card using the Katie Label Pivot Card die set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. I added my brayered panels to the edges of my card.
To decorate my card I added one of the cute girls from a Penny Black stamp set.
Here is the back of my card, I guess I could have brayered another piece of card and added it to the edge but seeing it is the back of the card I decided not to.
