Hi everyone,
It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Raquel Mason our challenge hostess for the month continues to issue the challenges.
Being the third Saturday in the month it is time for a sketch challenge.
Being the third Saturday in the month it is time for a sketch challenge.
For my card today I wanted to play with a few new toys! The background of this card is done using the new Circles Background from Elizabeth Craft Designs, which was layered onto the Dotted Scallop Rectangles. I had die cut the Circles background so that it had Clear Double Sided Adhesive on the back, so I used some of the circles that came out of the background and covered them with Faded Denim Silk Microfine Glitter and adhered them back into the background. I also added the four corners back into the background too.
I decorated the card using one of the dogs from the Stampers Anonymous Crazy Dogs stamp set.
For the inside of my card I used the Lorna Labels Pop Up Card die set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.
I used the Circles Background again, cutting it in half and used the same technique as the front and attaching it to both the top and bottom edges of my card.
Here is a side view of my card, so you can see the pop up portion of the card a little easier.
Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

In a million years, I would never have thought to cut Els' new background die into smaller pieces. Just as always, you have shown us a new technique, design and a beautiful card. Bravo, Frances.
LOVE this ... just love it. (Still haven't inked my TH Dogs - sheesh). That Circle Background is def on my wish list, thanks to this card. I especially like how you added it on the inside top and bottom edges too.
