Happy Birthday From The Dog

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Joanne Grzelak our challenge hostess for the month continues to issue the challenges.

Joanne loves her two pups. Apparently they were both rescue pups from Tennessee. Well, October is Adopt a Shelter Dog month, so for our challenge this week we are to create a card that includes a dog.

Our "Minnie is also a rescue dog ... I am not sure who rescued who as she has won the heart of both my husband and I!

I have created another Double Slider Surprise Card .... as it was my DH's birthday at the end of last month, I figured this could be a card my Minnie could give to her daddy!

The dog is from a stamp set from Art Impressions, I love that tongue hanging out of the it's mouth. I used Lawn Fawn's Double Slider Surprise die set to create the construction part of the card.

Here is a quick video of my card in action.

For the paw print background, I used the Simon Says Stamp Paws Background which I stamped onto the front of the Double Slider Surprise card using white pigment ink and then Daydream Catherine Pooler Ink.

For the base card I used Hero Art's Blanket Pattern Bold Prints Stamp set, again stamping with white pigment ink.

The bones and sentiments on the sliding panels are from the same stamp set as the dog.

For the inside of my card I added an older Penny Black sentiment I have had in my stash for some years.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

Cute card, Frances! Art Impressions makes the most humorous stamps, and this pup is no exception. Clever mechanism, too!
