Hi Crafty Friends,
It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Kathleen Adams our challenge hostess for the month continues to issue the challenges.
It's the third Saturday of the month, which means it is time for another sketch challenge.
I recently received my Concord & 9th order which included the new Happy Plaids stamp set which I wanted to play with, so that is what I used to create the background for this card.
For the corner panels of the sketch I used Creative Expressions Configurations Meridian Edger die set which is a die set I received earlier in the year as a birthday present from a friend. I also added some Red/Gold Glitter Dots Peel Off Stickers to each of the corners.
I added a Christmas sentiment to the centre panel and also added a holly peel off sticker to the top right hand corner.
For the inside of my card I created a pop-up card using the pop-up die from Karen Burniston's Explosion Pop-up die set.
To the top pop-up I added a Christmas tree from the Christmas Tree Pop Stand die set. I created the tree a little differently to how it was intended to be made. You can see a tutorial on how I created the tree on a post I did here.
I added the Merry Christmas to the lower portion of the pop-up panel.
Here is another look at the inside of the card, taken at a different angle so you can see the pop-up portion of the card a little better.
Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.
