Happy BeeDay

Hi Crafty Friends,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Karen Aicken our challenge hostess for the month continues to issue the challenges.

Being the third Saturday of the month it is time for a sketch challenge.

For my card today I decided to pull out a few new "toys" I got for Christmas that I thought would work together. The cute little Bee Girl is from a stamp set from Sasayaki Glitter Stamps, I believe this company mostly do digital stamps, but this was their first stamp set and as it was so cute and in Australia, I decided to add it to my stash.

For the background of my card I used Simon Says Stamp's Lined Circles Stencil, sponging black ink onto yellow cardstock to get a yellow and black color combo. Love this stencil, and I think I will be using it a lot!!!!

Of course I always like to create some sort of interactive card for sketch challenges, and today is no exception. So I used my Karen Burniston Katherine Label Pop-up die set to create the pop-up portion of the card. I also repeated the stencil elements and added another cute little Bee Girl, seeing I had stamped and cut out two of them.

The sentiment is from Honey Bee Stamp's Hi Honey Clear Stamp set, which is another new addition. This has lots of fun "Bee" sentiments and as I seem to make a fair number of bee themed cards I am sure I will make great use of it.

Here is one last photo of the inside of my card, so you can see the pop up portion of the card a little better.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.
