Hi Crafty Friends,
Today I am sharing a fun Christmas project using some of the new Joset Designs dies that were released recently from Elizabeth Craft Designs.
I have added a battery candle to my box, so it can be used as a decoration. But these would also be fun to decorate and add small gifts, treats etc in for holiday presentations.
To create the box, I die cut the Holiday House Box from Kraft cardstock. I then flicked gold paint all over the box. I covered the windows with vellum, so I got a muted light from inside the box.
To decorate the roof, I die cut each of the roofs twice using cranberry cardstock, I then die cut the scallop edge from the Valentines Edges die set a number of times to add on top of the roof panels. I added glue to the scallop sections of the roof and added Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter.
I added the fence from the Village Edges die set which I adhered to three sides of the box.
The Christmas lights are from the Holiday Birdhouse die set and I die cut these using silver, green and red cardstock and pieced them together and added to all four sides of the box.
Finally I die cut 4 trees using the tree die from the Christmas Door die set and adhered them to the long solid sides of the box using foam tape.
This is such a fun die set and could be decorated for any holiday including Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
