Cracker Of A Christmas

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Christmas themed shaped card I created recently.

Recently I was making some boxes using Tonic Studio's Deco-Edged Square Christmas Cracker die set. While I had the set out, I thought I would try making a Cracker shaped card using the cracker base. You can make two cracker shaped cards if you use the whole base die, however I only used enough card to make the one card.

I trimmed the cracker so there were only the two panels and then folded it in half to create the cracker shape. I also folded along the score lines which the die creates.

To decorate the front of the card, I used some of the decorative panels, die cutting them from white cardstock which had Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape on the front. I then covered the adhesive with Solar Gold Glitter. I then layered the glittered decorative pieces onto red solid panels.

I had this cute bear holding a star sitting on my desk for the past few weeks after making another card, so I decided to add that to my card.

To finish off the front of the card I added the sentiment which is from Taylored Expressions Simple Strips - Christmas stamp set with coordinating dies.

For the inside of the card I added a "cracker" themed sentiment onto red cardstock which I then die cut using one of the solid dies included in the cracker die set.
