Foliage Frame Slimline Birthday

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog.  Lynn McAuley our challenge hostess for the month finishes off her month with one last challenge.

This week is our final challenge to celebrate the things Liz likes in celebration of her 70th birthday this month. Apparently August is Peach Month. This is one of Liz’s favorite colors and of course, who doesn’t love a great peach to eat, so make use of either the fruit or the color on your card today.

As you can see I have created another Slimline card ... I am definitely addicted to this style of card right now. Having new Slimline dies, helps feed the addiction because of course I want to use them.

For my card today I used the new Trinity Stamps Slimline Foliage Frame die set. I die cut the frame from white cardstock and clear vellum. I then flipped one around so they were offset and adhered the two together.

I created my peach background using Catherine Pooler Bellini ink onto the front panel of a white Slimline Card. After blending the color onto the card, I then splattered all over the panel Lawn Fawn's Liquid Stardust; White Acrylic Paint and orange ink.

I adhered the frame to the front of the card.

For the sentiment I used the "happy" from Honey Bee Stamps Slimline Sentiments Eyelet die set. I die cut 4 layers in white cardstock and the last I die cut by adhering gold foil to white cardstock prior to die cutting.

I added the "birthday wishes" sentiment which is from Spellbinders Everyday Sentiments 2 Glimmer Hot Glimmer Plate, foiling the sentiment with gold foil. I die cut the sentiment using Honey Bee Stamps Banner Builder die set.

I created a pop up for the inside of the card. I created the same background on the inside panel of my card. I also die cut another of Trinity Stamps Slimline Foliage Frame die. I cut the die in half and adhered the border to each edge of the card.

I used Karen Burniston's Katherine Label Pop-up die set to create the pop-up for inside the card. I added the gold foiled sentiment using Ultimate Crafts Celebrate Your Birthday Hot Foil Stamp.

Here is a side view of the inside of my card, so you can see the pop-up portion of my card a little better.

Love the beautiful card. The white leaves just pop from the lovely peach bg. Love the speckles on it too. I love all the great ideas you share in using the new slimline cards, Frances.
