Hi Crafty Friends,
It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. As challenge hostess for the month, I continue to issue the challenges.
To create my snowy background, I used a blending brush to apply Tumbled Glass; Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide inks. I then splattered some white paint over the background to look like snow.
I used the ground die from the Slimline Scenic Borders die set from white glitter cardstock which I added to the bottom of the card.
I decorated my card using the gnomes from Simon Says Stamps Gnome for the Holidays stamp set.
For the inside of my card I added the "GNOEL" from Honey Bee Stamps Gnome Place Like Home stamp set. The rest of the sentiment and images are all from the Simon Says Stamp stamp set.
Slimline Cards seem to be very popular at present, especially with a few companies have been releasing dies especially for the use of creating this style of card. I know I have become addicted to this style of card as have a few of my friends. So much so that I created a Facebook Group dedicated to Slimline Cards called Slimline Card Addicts.
For our challenge this week create a Slimline card. The most popular sizes for Slimline Cards are either 8 ½ inches x 3 ½ inches or 4 inches x 9 inches and should fit into a standard business sized envelope.
For my card today, I used slimline dies from Trinity Stamps.
