Old Friends Living Room

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Slimline Card which uses Trinity Stamps Slimline Room Builder die set. I have only had this die set about a month, and I have already made three cards using it and have a few ideas for more. So expect to see it again in the not too distant future! I have a lot of furniture stamps from years ago which will work very well to create various scenes using this die set.

I die cut the Slimline die from white, brown and patterned paper and pieced them all together to create my background for my room. The die set also comes with the die to create the window, curtains and even the rug at the bottom of the couch.

The couch and bookcase are from a Katzelkraft stamp set I purchased last year. I paper pieced the couch using the reverse side of the patterned paper I used for the wall and then stamped and colored the cushions.

The clock and "home sweet home" picture are older dies I have had for years.

The woman and man are from MFT Stamps new Old Friends stamp set.

For the inside of the card I die cut the floor portion only of the Slimline Room Builder die from brown cardstock and adhered it to the bottom of the card. I also added another rug I created from the same die set.

I added a sentiment from the Old Friends stamp set.

Ahaha - that's a great card. And that is why we don't get rid of our older stamps, right? Years down the road they end up being the perfect images for what we are working on! Love that.
