It's Your Day! Go Bananas!

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Slimline card I created recently using the new Slimline die set from Mama Elephant. This die set comes with the three rounded windows in the centre of the stitched rectangle panel. I did cut the panel from white cardstock and then used Heffy Doodles UnbeLEAFable stencil to stencil the leaves all over the panel. I added a few splatters over the panel, once I had finished stencilling.

I decided to create a shaker card adding various colors of green and white sequins into each of the windows.

To decorate the front of the card I used the Zodiac Monkey stamp set and added the sentiment also included in the stamp set.

I used the same stencil to add leaves all over the inside of the card. In the centre of the card I added Lawn Fawn's Pop Up - Happy Birthday die set. I added a few more monkeys around the pop-up portion of the card.

I added a blank rectangle to the front part of the bottom panel of the inside of the card for a hand written sentiment.

Here is another view of the inside of the card, taken at a different angle so you can see the pop-up portion of the card.

May All Your Wishes Come True

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Being the beginning of a new month it is time to introduce our challenge hostess for the month which is Kelly McKown-Santi.

Fiesta like there's no mañana! Tuesday was Cinco de Mayo, let's continue the celebration with anything fiesta! Get your inspiration from the word fiesta, the colors Red, Green and Yellow, piñatas, sombreros etc. Feel free to simply create a celebration card in lieu of.

For my card today I pulled out my Mama Elephant Piñata Party stamp set which I purchased earlier in the year.... it's the perfect stamp set for this challenge, don't you think!

I created a Slimline Card using Trinity Stamps Slimline Stitched Card Panels and Windows die set and the Slimline Scenic Border die set.

I used Catherine Pooler inks in Shea Butter and Orange Peel for the sky and then Garden Party and Lime Rickey for the grass. I also splattered ink over the background for some extra texture.

To finish off the front of the card I added a sentiment using Taylored Expressions Simple Strips - Birthday stamp and coordinating die set.

For the inside of the card I created a pop-up card using Lawn Fawn's Pop-up - Happy Birthday die set. I also used their Oliver's Stitched ABC's die set to add color to the sentiment.

I added a few more of the images from Mama Elephant's Piñata Party stamp set.

I added two more sentiments on the base of the card which are also from the Taylored Expressions Simple Strips - Birthday stamp/die set.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

Balloon Magic Iris Card

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing another birthday card I created using some of the new Lawn Fawn dies released late last month.

I just love the new Magic Iris die set and the coordinating Magic Iris Add-On die set, so I pulled these two dies out to create my card today.

Just before the release I saw a Magic Iris card using the Stitched Balloon Frame die set, so at the last minute added this die set and the coordinating Outside In Stitched Balloon Stackables die set. Seeing I had ordered these both, I figured I should create a card using them.

This time around I decided to create a Landscape style card rather than a portrait style using the Magic Iris Add-on die set.

Here is a quick video to see my card in action.

To decorate my card I used patterned paper from Honey Bee Stamps.

As you can see I used rainbow colors for this card. I die cut the smallest and medium sized balloons from the Outside In Stitched Balloon Stackables die set to create all the solid balloons on the front of the card.

The centre balloon where the Magic Iris is located uses the Stitched Balloon Frames die set.

When you pull the tab which is located at the top left corner of the card, it opens the balloon to reveal a message.

For this card I used sentiments from Lawn Fawn's Really High Five stamp set, embossing the sentiment using white embossing powder.

Here is a quick look at my card showing the Magic Iris closed, partly open and then fully open.

For the inside of my card I created a pop-up card using Lawn Fawn's Pop-up Happy Birthday die set. I added the "rainbow" letters to the pop-up using the Oliver's ABCs die set, this alphabet set matches the letters on the pop-up perfectly.

I decorated the top of the card using the Outside In Stitched Balloon Stackables die set.

I added an oval from the Magic Color Slider die set to the base of the card so that a personal message can be written on it.
