Gnomefuls of Christmas Wishes

Hi Crafty Friends,

As today is the 24th August, it is almost 4 months until Christmas ... YIKES! So today I am sharing a gnome themed Christmas card I created.

I created a 5 x 7 Flip Card, using Creative Craft Products Perfect Flips - Circle die set. For the layers I used a patterned paper from Simply Made Crafts Winter Sparkles 12 x 12 Paper Pad.

I decorated the card using Stampendous' Slim Winter Gnomes, this is a slimline style stamp which I stamped and then cut apart and positioned the gnomes where I wanted on my card.

When you pull the left side of the card the card opens and the circle in the centre "flips" to reveal the other side. Here I stamped a Christmas sentiment and a few snowflakes. The "GNOEL" is from an older Honey Bee Stamps stamp set which may be discontinued now. The rest of the sentiment is from MFT Stamps Bitty Holiday Sentiments stamp set.

As you can see, I decided to decorate the back of my card. I used white cardstock on the left panel so that I could add another sentiment and some images and have a place to write a personal greeting. The rest I decorated using the same patterned paper I used on the front.

Heart Birthday

Hi Crafty Friends,

Thanks for visiting my blog. With Valentine's Day just over a week away I decided to pull out my Creative Craft Products Heart Perfect Flips die set, I got this when I ordered the other two die sets in the range but hadn't used it as yet. As I don't really need a Valentine's Card I turned mine into a birthday card, but it would be easy to just change the sentiments to use it for Valentine's Day.

There is also a coordinating stamp/die set called Heart Elements which I used to help decorate the card. That is what I used for the heart centres.

I white embossed the birthday sentiment to the right side of the bow. The pink heart is embossed using Made To Surprise's Linen Embossing Folder.

When you pull the card open, the heart in the centre of the card, flips to show another decorative heart and sentiment on the other side of the heart.

On the lower right hand side of the card, I added the pink strip with three jewels.

I don't usually decorate the back of this style of card, but as I had plenty of the patterned paper I decided I would. I added the white panel to the left side of the card for a place to write a personal message. On this white panel I added two sentiments using a sentiment stamp set from Made To Surprise. I also added another bow/ribbon to the lower portion of the card.

Frosty Wishes

Hi Craft Friends,

Thank you for visiting my blog. Today I have another card I created using some of the images and papers from the November 2022 Papercraft Society Box designed by Daisy Mae.

I have again opted to use the precoloured images that are available to download, as this saves a lot of time having to colour. I love that the dies included in the box can be used to die cut the recoloured images as well as the stamps included in the box.

For my card today I created a Flip card using Creative Craft Products Circle Perfect Flips die set which creates a flip card that is 5 x 7.

As well as adding two of the images from the box, I added some die cut snowflakes and the "Frosty" word using dies included in the box.

When you pull the card open the circle in the centre 'flips" to reveal the other side which in this case has a sentiment. I added the "frosty" again using the die from the box. The "Christmas Wishes" is from Crafter's Companion's Crafter's Inspiration Magazine Issue 5.

When They Saw The Star

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Being a brand new month, it's time to introduce our new challenge hostess which is Lynn McAuley.

Apparently today is National Bring Your Bible to School Day. For today’s CCEE design, use a Bible scripture as the sentiment on your card.

As I wanted to make a Christmas card for today's challenge, I had to go searching my older Christmas cards to find a suitable sentiment for this challenge. I finally found one in a really old MFT Stamps stamp set ... Pure Innocence Precious Little Lamb Upon A Star stamp set.

As the sentiment I decided to use referred to a star, it was the perfect opportunity to pull out my Creative Craft Products Perfect Flips Star die set and the coordinating stamp set. This is a 5 inch x 7 inch card.

I used holographic cardstock for the layers of my star and sentiment panel, and silver embossed the stamp and sentiment.

I also die cut additional smaller stars from holographic and white glitter cardstock to add around the card.

I paper pieced the lambs clothing using patterned paper.

When you pull the card open, the star in the centre of the card, flips to show a sentiment on the other side of the star.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

Sparkle and Shine

Hi Crafty Friends,

Thanks for dropping by my blog today. It's been a while since I have created a flip type card and recently I decided to update my collection of dies that create this style of card by purchasing the new released Perfect Flips Collection by Creative Craft Products at Craft Stash. There were three different sets released all of which are the 5 x 7 size which I didn't have previously. Today I am sharing a Christmas card I created using the Perfect Flips - Circle die and coordinating stamp/die set. There is also a heart and star available which I am looking forward to using at a later date.

I used papers from Crafter's Companion's Bright and Frosty 12 x 12 paper pad for the layers. I then used the snowflake from the coordinating stamp/die set which I die cut several times from white glitter cardstock and holographic cardstock. I layered the glitter snowflakes over the holographic snowflakes offsetting slightly to get a shadow.. I then added one snowflake to the centre circle and then parts of the snowflake randomly around the card.

I then added a large glitter embellishment to the centre of the large snowflake.

When you pull the left side of the card the card opens and the circle in the centre "flips" to reveal the other side. Here I stamped a Christmas sentiment and a few snowflakes.

I don't usually decorate the back of this style of card, but as I had plenty of the patterned paper I decided I would. I added the white panel to the left side of the card for a place to write a personal message.
