Hello Baby

Hi Crafty Friends,

Welcome to my blog, today I am sharing a fun baby themed Slimline card I created recently.

For my card base I have used the DL Diamond card using the Creative Craft Products die set,

To decorate my card I used Spellbinders Swinging Among the Stars die set. The elephant in the basket moves from side to side.

For the background panel I used blue cardstock, I then used the Falling Stars Betterpress Plate & the Wishing Stars 3D Embossing Folder to create the sky. I also added clouds that are included in the die set.

The sentiments on the inner panel are from the Little Smiles Sentiments Betterpress Plate set.

The “baby” sentiment on the front diamond is from a Trinity Stamps stamp set called Simply Sentiments Baby.

I added a panel on the back to add another sentiment and a place to write a personal greeting to the recipient. I decorated this panel using various items from the products used on the front of the card.

Your Birthday Is On Point

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing another Winged Panel Card, this time using the Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott’s 6 x 6 Circular Never Ending Card die set.

I used the Papercraft Society’s Box 58 designed by Time for Tea. The theme for this box was cacti.

When I was putting this together I was trying to figure out how to do the centre oval panels as of course the die set didn’t come with anything for that seeing this style of cards wasn’t how the die set was designed for. I remembered that I had recently purchased an oval die set from Spellbinders which was perfect for this called Essential Stylish Ovals.

Here is a look at the back of the card, I added an oval panel to the centre to add a sentiment. I also added a cacti image at the bottom which hides a glue smudge that was annoying me.

Happy 'Bear’thday

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Winged Panel Card using the Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott’s 5 x 7 Never Ending Card die set. One of the things I love about Sam’s dies is how she always comes up with different styles of cards using her die sets, giving them extra life.

For this card I decorated it using one of the Care Bear stamp/die sets from Craft Stash. I had stamped & coloured these images late last year and them forgot to use them.

I added layers to the centre panel so I could add another bear & a sentiment.

Tee-riffic 60th Birthday

Hi Crafty Friends,

It seems that this year my friends (and myself) are celebrating big ‘0’ birthdays, be it 60; 70 or 80! So there will be lots of opportunities to pull out my various number dies to make aged birthday cards.

For as long as I can remember (over 20 years) I have made my friend who loves to play golf a golf themed birthday card. Last year when I was ill and not stamping I was unable to make a special card, but fortunately I did have a golf themed card that I had in my stash.

When I was thinking about what type of card to make this year, I remembered the Made To Surprise Circle Cracker Tower Card. The circles down each side of the centre panel are perfect for golf balls. I used a very old Cuttlebug embossing folder to give the circles a golf ball look,

This year my friend is celebrating her 60th birthday, so I decided to pull out the new Spellbinders Bougie Birthday die set to create the cake which I decorated in a golf theme.

I used light brown cardstock for the cake and green for all the icing elements. The ‘60’ is from Spellbinders Classy Numbers die set, which are diecutting from silver mirror cardstock.

I added the cute golfing gophers (or is that golphers haha) which are from La-La Land Crafts Tee-riffic stamp set.

I added the birthday sentiment which is an older die set from Spellbinders. The sentiment is die cut from silver mirror cardstock & layered onto a layer the same colour as the cake, so that it gave some height but didn’t overwhelm the scene.

For the back of the card, I added a panel to the centre. The golf green uses an older stamp from Magnilia Stamps. I added another of the gophers to the l green”. For the sentiment I doctored & combined two sentiment from the Made To Surprise Go Sporty stamp set.

Other Supplies:
Spellbinders Yana's Layered Script Sentiments Stamp/Die Set

80th Birthday

Hi Crafty Friends,

A friend recently had her 80th birthday, so of course I wanted to make a special birthday card for her.

To create her card I pulled out one of the Double Concertina Gatefold die set from the Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott's Showstoppers 3 Collection.

For the "H B 2 U" in the concertina portion of the card, I used the letters from the Chunky Alphabet die set. I added hearts on either side of the letters, using a heart die from Creative Craft Products, before attaching to the card I dry embossed the smaller heart using Spellbinders Rosette Burst 3D Embossing Folder.

For the sentiment on the left side of the card, I added one of the birthday sentiments included in the Moving Along stamp set. This was stamped using Catherine Pooler's Gold ink pad.

On the right hand panel, I added the "80th" using dies from Creative Craft Products Small Numbers Galore - 80th stamp & die set.

I kept the front of the card fairly simple as the focus is on the inside. I added the circle and filigree circle for my layers. I stamped the "birthday wishes" using gold ink to the lower section of the circle. I then added the "happy" which is from the All The Sentiments die & stamp set.

To finish off the front of the card, I added the presents using one of the stamps included in the Surprise Party stamp & die set.

On the back of the card, I added a white panel and added another birthday sentiment.  I also added another present, this time from the Bringing Gifts stamp & die set from Made To Surprise. This also gives us a place to add a handwritten sentiment.

Let's Celebrate You

Hi Crafty Friends!

Happy New Year to you all, I hope 2025 is good for us all!

For my card today I am sharing a Triple Tier Slider card, I have made a few of these over the years, but I love having a die set that cuts everything out for you. This is a 5 x 7 inch card and uses Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott’s Triple Tier Slider die set which was released a while back by Craft Stash.

To decorate the main panel of my card, I used the cute mouse & boot which are two die sets from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

When you pull the tab that is showing at the top of the card it reveals a sentiment. This is also from Made To Surprise.

Pulling the tab at the top once more reveals another panel that contains a birthday sentiment which is from the same stamp set.

To finish the card, I added the ‘eek’ word three times randomly around the mouse.

Big Birthday Wishes

Hi Crafty Friends,

I was recently asked to make a 40th birthday card by someone and as you can see I was happy to do so.

This gave me the opportunity to pull out one of the dies from Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott's Showstoppers 3 Collection ... the Double Concertina Gatefold die set.

I kept the front of the card fairly simple as the focus is on the inside. I added another of the circles to the front with a sentiment. I also added a butterfly from Text{ures}.

On the back of the card, I added a white panel and added another birthday sentiment. This also gives us a place to add a handwritten sentiment.

Feel Better Soon

Hi Crafty Friends,

Thanks for stopping by my blog, today I am sharing a get well card I created recently.

To create my card I used Heffy Doodle's Bed Heads stamp set, this is a super cute stamp set which has been sitting on my desk for some time ... I finally got around to using it. That's one of my aims for 2024, to use my stamps and dies I have previously purchased.

I created a Centre Step Card using Creative Craft Products High Centre Stepper Card die set.

I added the "Thinking of You" sentiment from Whimsy Stamps Slimline Heartbeats die set.

For the inside of the card I added a sentiment using Simon Says Stamp's Healing Hugs stamp set.

I also added the bed side table and some of the accessories included in the Heffy Doodles stamp set.

Winged Butterflies

Hi Crafty Friends,

Thanks for dropping by my blog. Today I am sharing a Winged Pop Up Card I created using dies from Made to Surprise by Sam Calcott's Showstoppers 3 Collection.

The die used here is called 5in x 7in Showstoppers Winged Pop Up Card die set,  this die set can be used to make a number of different styles of card.

I made this style of card a year or two ago without dies, but I was pleased when I found out that I could use this die set to make them. It's always a lot easier and quicker with a die set and not having to measure.

As you can see by the photo above, this card has extra panels on the back of the card which gives it a winged effect.

Here is another photo of my card, showing the other winged panel.

To decorate my card, I used the butterfly die from Text{ures} and some of the gold foiled sentiment ephemera from the Papercraft Society Box 53.

Here is an overhead view of my card, so you can see the style of card a little better.

When you close the card, the "wings" fold back to create a 5 inch x 7 inch card. The card stays closed with the help of a belly band. I decorated the belly band using another of the butterflies and a gold foiled sentiment from the Papercraft Society Box 53.

Here is a look at the front of my card without the belly band.

Here is a view of the back of the card. I added layered panels to the two back side panels. I added two sentiments using Made To Surprise's Sentiment set from the Showstopper Collection. I gold embossed both sentiments. There is also space on this panels to add a personal greeting to the recipient.
