Hope Your Day Rocks

Hi Crafty Friends,

IIt’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog.  Being a brand new month it's time to introduce a new challenge hostess, which is Maryann Einam.

Apparently today is Marching Band Day – celebrate it by creating a card using this theme. 

For my card today I pulled out MFT Stamps' Jungle Vibes stamp set. 

I created a Slimline Card using Hello Bluebird's Winter Walk Scene die. I die cut the die from white cardstock and then used Distress Oxide inks to color all of the different pieces.

Once I had assembled all the pieces onto my card, I added the sentiment which is also included in the stamp set.

For the inside of the card, I created a pop-up Slimline Card.

I used Lawn Fawn's Pop-up Hooray die to create the pop up portion of the card. I also used the Oliver's ABCs die set to add the colored letters to the pop-up.

I used the grass and cloud dies from Mama Elephant's Slim Card Basics die set to decorate the top and bottom edges of the card.

As you can see I also added some more of the jungle animals that I used on the front of the card to decorate the inside. Finally I used two of the sentiments included in the stamp set to add to the card.

Here is a side view of the inside of the card, so you can see the pop-up portion of the card a little better.

Who’s Having A Birthday!

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. This week I am hosting the challenge.

So to answer my question in the title … about Who’s having a birthday, well that would be me! (Happy Birthday to me! hehe) …. So we are going to use one of my favorite things! Can you guess what it is …… OWLS!!!!!!!!! If you don’t have Owls in your collection use some other sort of bird … but I would love to see those owls!!!!!!!!!

For my first card today I have used a freebie digital stamp which I found on SJ’s Little Musings blog just before Christmas …. I love her owl hat and scarf she is wearing. I had printed this out and colored part of it before Christmas and hadn’t gotten around to doing anything with it and found it recently, so decided to use it for the challenge this week.

Here is the inside of my card, the sentiment is from Kazazz.

So in case my “Crazy” friends think I am cheating my own challenge LOL, I made another card. Hehe .. they wouldn’t really mind of course!  This is a set I purchased recently and is from Penny Black!

I stamped the owl on white card and then used my Spellbinders heart die to diecut the image. I masked the image and then airbrush the blue area of the heart.

The flower is created using MFT Die-namics Loopy Bloom die and material, after assembling the flower I airbrushed that using pink copic markers.

Here is the inside of my card, I added a sentiment from an old Kim Hughes Owl set.
