Tis the Season .... Sneak Peak 2!

I have another sneak peak today of the "Tis the Season" stamp set by Hanna Stamps. This time I decide to use the tree without Hanna (remember I said yesterday these were two separate stamps so it is easy to do this) .... I wanted the tree to look like it was inside the house not outside in the snow (it doesn't snow in Australia at Christmas time ... in fact we are normally swimming it is that hot :) ).

To start I stamped the presents twice onto white card and masked those images and then I stamped my tree .... as the tree is a clear stamp it is easy to line this up exactly where you want it with the need of a stamp positioner. I colored the portion under the tree red so it looked like those skirts people sometimes place under trees these days. Those spots you can see on the tree are actually clear rhinestones. I used my paper piercing mat and tool to create the faux stitched look to this piece.

This layout is actually one I found today on Captain Crafter's blog, his challenge was to create a Christmas card using non traditional stamps ... well I completed part of the challenge but I wanted to use my Hanna stamps for this and I liked the sketch.

The circle embellishment is was created using the circle nestibilities dies ... I stamped the snowflake from this new set in red on the white circle and then after layering all circles together added the gem brad.

I also stamps the little snow flourish in this set on the bottom olive panel ... it might be hard to see in my photo but it does show up better in real life.

The only stamp here that isn't part of the "Tis the Season" set is the Christmas Verse.

Recipe: Stamps: Tis the Season - Hanna Stamps; Season of Joy - Stampin' Up
Paper: Old Olive, Real Red - Stampin' Up; White; Fruitcake Basic Grey DP
Other: Black Ink; Real Red SU Ink; Olive Pastel Fluid Chalk; Circle Nestibilites Sml; Ticket Corner Punch; Photo Corner Punch; Paper Piercing Mat & Tool; Olive Brads; Olive Micro Brads; Red Gem Brad; Clear Rhinestones; Foam Tape
