It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas!

I have had a chance this weekend to get any cards made as yet .... I have been pretty busy first with some Christmas shopping and then when we got home on Saturday my DH and I worked a little bit more on our Christmas Village we do each year. We don't have the room as yet to go out so instead we go up .... using our enclosed fireplace as the base for the village (that is the flue you can see in the centre. Each year we purchase a little bit more to add to it ... this year we added the North Pole up the very top and our wharf area down the bottom (it doesn't look all that wharf-like I guess .... but we will work on that for next year)

We also put our Christmas tree up, with all our ornaments and the train around the base .... it was pretty hard taking a good photo of this as I don't have a lot of room in get in front of the tree to get in everything at once ... my DH did move the table for me which did help a lot. The tree looks a little like it has a bit of a lean on it ... it doesn't really ... it is likely the angle I had to take my photo. It will look even better once the pressies are under the tree.

That is another thing I have been busy doing this weekend .... wrapping up presents and getting all my Christmas cards written in ready to post .... I love making them but the hardest part in my opinion is getting them ready for mailing ... now maybe I can relax and get some cards made!

What a neat idea to have your Cmas village going vertical! We're putting up our tree today (Sunday) too. The kids are so excited.

I love your Christmas Village and what a clever idea to go up! It looks like you've been *collecting* for a long time - many, many cute things to look at :)

We've been working on our decorations today (Sun.), as well. We'll probably finish tomorrow or the next day. My cards aren't finished, yet! Soon, I hope :)
