This card is for this weeks My Favorite Things sketch challenge over at the member forums of SCS. As I got my new stamps in the mail this week it was a great opportunity to get out a set and play. I also found this striped DP in a scrapbook shop I visited on the way home from visiting my mother earlier this week too ... so I just had to pull that out as well.
MFT stamps are well known for their headless people .... with this set you have an option of stamping the hat which comes with the set so that the image doesn't appear headless .... I decided to go with that option for this particular card.
The red panel which is also the inside of the card was stamped with one of the shells from the set using real red SU ink ... it is hard to see by my photo you can see it better in real life. I also paper pierced the two top corners of the card on the red panel. The grosgrain ribbon was originally white as I wanted navy I colored this using my alcohol markers.
Recipe:
Stamps: Bye the Seashore - My Favorite Things
Paper: Real Red & Night of Navy - SU; White; Parade Celebrate Stripes DP - My Mind's Eye
Other: Black Ink; Real Red SU Ink; White Grosgrain Ribbon; Red Brads; Paper Piercing Mat & Tool; Foam Tape
