MFTeasers Day 3

Hi everyone,

I have another couple of MFTeasers to share with you all today in readiness of the MFT Stamps new release, this coming Tuesday 2nd August.

Today the MFT Design team are featuring the “Pure Innocence” range, and this month there will be five brand new Pure Innocence sets to be released … you are going to love them!!!!!! The PI’s to be released include: PI Poppy; PI Caramel Apple; PI Karate Boy; PI Karate Girl and PI Sunflower Girl.

For my first project today I used the PI Poppy set to create my August page of my calendar, that is now 8 months done and 4 to go. It is getting closer to being finished . I used four of the new die-namic dies which are  being released on Tuesday, which are Die-namics Tag You’re It; Die-namics Retro Flower; Die-namics Fancy Flourish; Die-namics Bracket Tab.

For my second card today I used PI Sunflower Girl, isn’t she a cutie. My layout for this card is the Mojo Sketch Mojo 200. I used the Die-namics Tag You’re It again as well as two  more new Die-namics …. Die-namics Just the Ticket and Die-namics Open Scallop Doily Duo. Oh and one more die the Die-namics Open Bracket Border along the right side of my card.

Here is the inside of my card. I used one of the sentiments from the set and the Die-namics Tag You’re It die.

MFTeaser Day 2

Hi everyone,

It’s day 2 of the MFTeasers, in preparation of the release of the new stamp sets which are all due to be released by MFT Stamps this coming Tuesday 2nd August.

Today the Design Team are featuring three of the new stamp sets that will be released, these include: “à la modes I Spy”; “à la modes Bundle of Baby” and “Just the Ticket Die-namics and Stamp Set”.

For my card today I used two of the new sets, à la modes Bundle of Baby and the Just the Ticket Die-namics and Stamp Set.

Besides the Just the Ticket Die-namics, I used to other of the new Die-namics dies on this card. These are the Rolled Retro Flower and Fancy Flourish Die.

It is also time for another challenge with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. This week our challenge hostess Cindy Haffner has challenged us to create a Tent card.  You can find a tutorial on how to create these here.

MFTeaser Day 1!

Hi everyone,

It’s that time again when the MFT Stamps designs team begins showing our MFTeasers in preparation of the new stamps which will be released by MFT Stamps after the release party this coming Tuesday 2nd August.

Today the Design Team are featuring two of the new stamps to be released. These are “ By The Numbers Die-namics and Stamp Set” and “Clearly Sentimental About Sympathy”.

For my card today I decided to use Clearly Sentiment About Sympathy. Sympathy cards are cards that none of us really enjoy making, but we all need to at one time or other unfortunately and it helps if we have a stamp set that we can turn to to use. The sentiments in this set are just awesome, I am in love with this set.

I used the Die-namics Well Worn Greetings for my sentiment. Along the bottom edge of my card the border is created using the Die-namics Double Scallop Border. I also used two of the new Die-namics being released on Tuesday, these are the Rolled Retro Flower and the Fancy Flourish dies. I am just loving these two new dies as you will see as the teasers progress.

For my first card today I decided to use Mermaid Sophie and Scuba Riley, those two stamps work so well together. I stamped both the images and them masked them so I could airbrush my water and sand.

For my second card today I decided to create a Suitcase card so I could use a number of the fun images from the Travel Sticker Accessory set. Aren’t they so darn cute! This set features countries including USA; London (England); Italy; Switzerland; China and Australia. I just love the Aussie with the kangaroo, actually for the Aussies out there, there are two Aussie themed stamps in this set.

Here is the inside of my suitcase card, looks like Riley is off on a cruise now … wow he is having such a fun vacation, don’t you think.

It’s challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Joanne Grzelak our challenge hostess finishes off the month with a choice for us today.

Members of our team are either enjoying the warmth of summer or the cold of winter. Make a card that shows one of these seasons.

Well I am the only one who is enjoying as Joanne calls it the cold of winter, now I don’t like cold LOL. But I won’t complain too much cause it hasn’t been too bad so far and we only have one month to go yaaaaaaa! Anyway as you can see I didn’t create a winter theme card but a summer one as I wanted to play with new stamps and designer papers. This is another sweet image from Lili of the Valley and is called Summer Days so I think it fits the theme right

The layout of this card is from a recent Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge (SSSC116).

No Markers!

Hi everyone,

It’s time for another Pretties Wednesday Challenge over on the Paper Pretties Blog. This week the challenge is a No marker challenge...color with pencils, inks, crayons...anything but markers.

Aaaaargh!!!!!! no markers, I decided a long long time ago that I prefer to color my images with my copic markers! For me nothing else gives me the results that I prefer when I color … I know other people love some of these other options but we all have to use what works for us and Copics is what works for me! So this was a challenge I wasn’t looking forward to … I did think maybe I could be sick, but Heather knows I work ahead of time so I wouldn’t have gotten away with that LOL .

Anyway back to  my card, I used Paper Pretties Holy Mackerel this week! I thought that was appropriate for a non marker challenge … it might have been something I said when I first read the challenge hehe! I used Prismacolor pencils and baby oil to color in my image.

The layout of my card is a recent Card Patterns sketch #123.

How to Enter: If you would like to play along with us, all you have to do is create a card/project using the above challenge and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword PWC164.

Don’t forget to include a link to your card on the Paper Pretties Blog, so everyone can see it too. You Really Are Sew Special!

Hi everyone!

I am back again today with another MFT card to share with you. It’s time for this week’s Wednesday Stamp Club sketch over on the MFT Stamps Member Forum of SCS.

For my card I used MFT Stamps Sew Nifty Die-namics & Stamp Set, this is such a fun set! The scallop panels down the bottom of my card were created using the Die-namics Simply Scallops Medium that I used to cut cream and green felt. I wrapped some Lemondrop Yellow Twine around the cotton real cut out I created using both the stamp & the die from the set.

Here is the inside of my card. I added one of the sentiments and the dress form from the Sew Nifty Die-namics & Stamp Set.

Welcome To Las Vegas!

It is day 4 of our Riley sneak peeks in readiness of the release of 15 new Riley's this coming Thursday 28th July!

It is also challenge time over on the Riley and Company blog. This week Sarah Gough has given us a fun challenge! R is for a Riley Recipe - create a card or project incorporating the following - Riley, Red (along with any other colors you like) Ribbon, and Rhinestones!

This time round Riley has vacationing at Las Vegas! It looks like he has met up with his good friend Sophie too! For the challenge I include a red rhinestone in the middle of the star on the sign and also added some black rhinestones on the red panels at the side of the main image. The ribbon was hard to fit on my card so I placed it around my card under the black star border.
