On Your Wedding Day

Hi everyone,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Our challenge hostess for the month, Liz finishes off the month with one last challenge.

Liz tells us .... that when she was young, she remembers the local newspaper selected every June, a June bride and featured her wedding details in a specially published section of the paper. I suppose this was quite an honor. For our challenge for the end of this month, we will make cards featuring a bridal couple or inspired by a wedding cake.

A couple of weeks ago I attended our local Paper Craft Show and of course purchased a few new toys, including some suitable for a wedding card. Of course I wanted to try and incorporate some of those on my card this week.

The base of my card uses the Rectangle Pull Card designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. I seem to be using this particular card style a lot lately, but it works for just so many occasions.

To decorate my card I added the Wedding Day Edge'ablities from Die'sire, I had seen these online prior to the craft show and had planned to order but the postage to Australia was too expensive, so I was pleased when I found these at our craft show. I also used the Tattered Lace Couple for centre of my card.

On the right hand side I decorated the edge using a Header die from Tonic Studios. As you can see I kept to the colors white and gold.

On the inside I added a couple of sentiments to the panels. I also used the rectangle from the Rectangle Accordion Card as it is a tiny bit bigger than the rectangle from the pull card making it perfect for layering.

I also discovered one more wedding die I purchased at the show,  the rings. So of course I had to add them too haha!

As I still had one die left that I got from the Papercraft Show I hadn't used I decided to use it on the front of the envelope haha ... this is also from Tonic Studio.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

This pretty card will probably be used by the bride and groom as a wedding decoration at the wedding, if they receive it before the wedding. What elegance and beauty!

Wow - looks like you did a fair bit of damage at that paper craft show! What fun! Lovely wedding card, and I appreciate that you used every single one of your new wedding dies on it. :-)
