Hi Crafty Friends,
Today I am sharing a pop-up card I made recently which I will give to my mum for Mother's Day. My mother used to make the most gorgeous cross stitched cards which she gave us at birthdays and Christmas until it got too hard for her to see to sew.
When I saw this crossed stitched rose stamp set from Waffle Flower I thought it would be perfect for her. I also found a crossed stitched stamp set which had lots of awesome sentiments last year at the craft fair I attended which works perfectly with the cross stitched rose. And when I discovered I could also get an embroidery hoop die I knew I needed one for these stamps. I got a die from Paper Smooches, but I have notice Waffle Flower sell one too.
For the inside of my card I used Karen Burniston's Cupcake Pop-up Card die set which is perfect to hold the embroidery hoop. All the sentiments come from the Close to my Heart stamp set I got at the craft show. I was originally planning to include the "With Love" on the front but there wasn't really any room for it, so I added the "Mum" to the front instead.
As you can see I stamped a few more crossed stitched roses and added them to the inside of my card.
Here is another view of my card, taken at a different angle so you can see the pop up part of the card a little better.

Beautiful card and so thoughtful. I never would have guessed it was stamped. Your Mum will love it!
Oh my Frances, this is stunning! I just had to pop over here from FB and check out your post on this lovely card. The cross stitched roses look so real. Beautifully done!!
Love this card. Wondered if the Waffle Flower images are difficult to line up for the layered stamping. This would be so much easier than cross stitch which is something I would never do.
It wasn't too hard to line up, using the image on the acetate stamp sheet the stamps come on makes it easier
OMGoodness, this is just beautiful. Beautiful!
when my eyes were good, cross stitching was my craft of choice....this is gorgeous
